When you stream a match through LIGR Live, a recording of the full match is saved in the Multimedia tab. Before you can play that recording back or clip moments from it, you need to convert it. This article shows you how to start a conversion, check its progress and open the finished recording in the Moments Editor.

Before you start
You need the Streaming module. Match recordings come from matches streamed through LIGR Live, so there is nothing to convert unless the match was streamed.
The match should have finished streaming. A recording is only complete once the stream has ended.
You need a role with access to the Multimedia tab for your organisation.
Why recordings need converting
A raw match recording is saved straight from the live stream. In that form it isn't ready for playback or editing. Converting it prepares the file so you can watch it in the player, scrub through the timeline and create clips.
You only need to convert each recording once. After that, it stays ready to use whenever you come back to it.
Convert a recording
Open the Multimedia tab and go to your match recordings.
Find the recording you want. For example, the full match recording for Harbour City (HCF) v Ridgeview (RVR) in the LIGR Demo League.
Open the recording to see its details. If it hasn't been converted yet, you'll see the option to convert it.
Click Start Conversion.
The conversion starts straight away. You don't need to choose any settings first.
Check the conversion status
Once you've started the conversion, the status in Details shows how it's going. Keep an eye on this to know when the recording is ready.
While the conversion is running, the status shows it's still in progress.
When the conversion finishes, the status changes to show the recording is ready.
How long it takes depends mostly on the length of the recording. A full match takes longer than a short one, so allow some time. You can check back later and look at the status in Details again.
Open the recording in the Moments Editor
When the recording is ready, click Moments Editor. This opens the full match so you can find and save moments from it.
In the Moments Editor you can:
Move through the full match to find the part you want, such as a goal, a save or a key incident.
Create moments from those sections of the match.
Manage the moments you've saved so they're easy to find later.
This is especially useful for anything that wasn't captured as a highlight during the match. You can go back through the whole recording and save exactly what you need.
Tips and common mistakes
The recording won't play. Check that it has been converted. Unconverted recordings can't be played or clipped until you click Start Conversion and the conversion finishes.
The Moments Editor isn't available yet. Wait until the status in Details shows the recording is ready. The Moments Editor works with the converted file.
No recording for a match. Make sure the match was streamed through LIGR Live and the stream has ended. Matches that weren't streamed won't have a recording.
Convert early. If you know you'll want clips from a match, start the conversion soon after the stream ends. That way the recording is ready when you sit down to edit.
Highlights vs moments. Highlights are created around events during the match. The Moments Editor lets you pick any part of the full recording, so use it to fill in anything the highlights missed.
