Overview
Match recordings are full videos of completed live streams. They only appear in the Multimedia section if you switched on Store Match Recording in your stream settings before the broadcast. You can download match recordings to save them to your local computer as MP4 files.
Before you start
A recording is only kept when the stream is set up to store it. Check this before the match goes live. If the setting was off during the broadcast, there won't be a recording to download.
Open the match's Stream Monitor, click the three-dot menu and choose Stream Settings. The UPDATE STREAM SETTINGS window opens. When you add a new stream, the same window is titled CREATE STREAM SETTINGS.
In the section list on the left, click Recording, or scroll down to it.
Switch on Store Match Recording.
Click Update (or Create for a new stream) to save your changes.
The Recording section also has Generate Highlights and Auto Publish Highlights toggles. Highlights need the full feed archived, so switch on Store Match Recording if you want highlights as well.
How to Download a Match Recording
Go to Multimedia > Matches. You'll see thumbnails for all your archived recordings.
Click the recording you want to download to open it in full-screen view.
Click Download on the left side of the video player, next to the Moments Editor button.
The recording will convert to MP4 and download to your computer.
What You'll See
The Matches section displays a thumbnail for each recording along with several details to help you identify it:
Team names
Competition name
Stream name
Duration
Timestamp
For example, a recording of Harbour City (HCF) v Ridgeview (RVR) in the LIGR Demo League shows both team names, the competition and the name of the stream it came from.
Related Actions
From the full-screen view of a match recording, you can also perform a few other actions:
Share the recording link: click Video Link and copy the URL.
Give clubs access: switch on Club Access so both teams involved in the match can access the full recording.
Create Moments: click the Moments Editor button to manually cut custom highlights from the recording.
Tips and common mistakes
Switch on Store Match Recording before the broadcast. Turning it on afterwards won't create a recording of a match that has already been streamed.
If a recording is missing from Multimedia > Matches, open the stream's settings and check the Recording section. The section list on the left shows its current value.
Use the stream name and timestamp to tell recordings apart when you've streamed several matches on the same day.
