Overview
You can share match recordings by generating a shareable link that lets recipients view and download the full recording in their browser. This is useful for sharing completed matches with team members, clubs or other stakeholders who need access to the whole game, such as a Harbour City (HCF) v Ridgeview (RVR) match from the LIGR Demo League.
Before you start
Match recordings only appear in Multimedia if the stream was set to store the match recording before the broadcast. You turn this on in the stream's settings, in the Recording section.
To check or change it for an existing stream:
Open the match's Stream Monitor, click the three-dot menu and choose Stream Settings. The UPDATE STREAM SETTINGS window opens.
In the section list on the left, click Recording. Each section shows its current value, so you can see the recording settings at a glance.
Switch on Store Match Recording.
Click Update to save your changes.
If you're adding a new stream, the same Recording section appears in the CREATE STREAM SETTINGS window. Switch on Store Match Recording there, then click Create.
The Recording section also has Generate Highlights and Auto Publish Highlights toggles. Highlights need the full feed archived, so keep Store Match Recording on if you want highlights as well.
How to Share a Match Recording Link
Once the match has been recorded, follow these steps:
Go to Multimedia > Matches.
Click the match recording you want to share. It opens in full-screen view.
Click Video Link. A shareable link appears.
Copy the link.
Share it with others by email, message or any other method you prefer.
How Recipients Access the Recording
Once a recipient has the link, they simply paste it into their web browser. The recording then opens and can be viewed directly in the browser.
Recipients can also download the recording from the viewing page. They don't need to sign in or install anything to watch it.
Important Notes
Match recordings only appear in the Multimedia section if Store Match Recording was switched on in the Recording section of the stream settings before the broadcast.
The link provides access to view and download the full match recording, so only share it with people who should have the whole match.
Recipients do not need a LIGR Live account to access shared recording links.
If you can't find a recording in Multimedia > Matches, open the stream's settings and check the Recording section first.
