Manage Inputs

See all your streaming inputs in one list, edit or delete them, and check the Activity tab for their history.

The Inputs page lists every video source set up for your organisation. From here you can check how each input is set up, change its details, remove inputs you no longer use and review the history of changes.

Before you start

  • You need the Streaming module to see the Streaming tab.

  • You need at least one input. If the list is empty, see Create an Input first.

Open your inputs

  1. Click Streaming in the left sidebar.

  2. Click Inputs in the Streaming sub-navigation. You land on the INPUTS tab.

Each input is a row in the table. The columns are:

  • Input Name: the name you gave the input, such as Demo Input 01. Use names that tell your team which camera or feed it is.

  • Team: the team the input belongs to, such as Harbour City FC. This is what lets LIGR Live offer the right input when you add a stream to that team's matches.

  • Venue / Area: the venue and area, such as LIGR Demo Stadium, Pitch 1. Useful when a venue has several pitches or courts, each with its own camera.

  • Type: the protocol the input uses, such as SRT or RTMP.

  • Actions: the DELETE and EDIT buttons for that input.

Click the arrow at the start of a row to expand it and see more about that input. When the list gets long, use Search inputs to find one by name, or click FILTERS to narrow the list.

Edit an input

  1. Find the input in the list.

  2. Click EDIT in its row. The input form opens with the current settings filled in.

  3. Change what you need, such as the name, team, venue or area.

  4. Save your changes.

Editing is handy when a camera moves to a different pitch, or when you want to rename inputs so they are easier to spot on match day. Any stream that uses the input keeps using it after you edit it.

If the input is in use on a stream that is live, plan your changes carefully. A stream's input assignment can only be changed once the stream is stopped. For SRT inputs, latency can be adjusted from the Stream Monitor while you are live.

Delete an input

  1. Find the input in the list.

  2. Click DELETE in its row.

  3. Confirm if you are asked to.

Deleting removes the input from your organisation. A stream cannot start without an input, so before you delete one, check it is not assigned to any upcoming matches. If it is, assign a different input to those streams first.

Check the Activity tab

Click ACTIVITY, next to INPUTS at the top of the page, to see the history of your inputs. Activity shows what changed and when, such as inputs being created, edited or deleted.

Use it when something looks different from what you expected, for example if an input was renamed or removed before a match. It helps your team work out what happened without guessing.

Tips and common mistakes

  • Keep one input per camera or feed, and name it after where it lives, such as "Pitch 1 Main Camera".

  • Set the team, venue and area on every input. It makes finding the right input much quicker when you set up streams.

  • Don't delete an input that is still assigned to upcoming streams. Those streams will not be able to start until they have a new input.

  • If a stream will not start, check the stream has an input assigned before anything else.
