Manage Destinations

See every destination your streams can go to, update stream keys, delete old destinations and check their history in the Activity tab.

The Destinations page lists everywhere your streams can be sent, such as YouTube or a custom RTMP platform. Use it to check your destinations, update stream keys, remove old ones and see the history of changes.

Before you start

  • You need the Streaming module to see the Streaming tab.

  • You need at least one destination. If the list is empty, see Create a Destination first.

Open your destinations

  1. Click Streaming in the left sidebar.

  2. Click Destinations in the Streaming sub-navigation. You land on the DESTINATIONS tab.

Each destination is a row in the table. The columns are:

  • Destination Name: the name you gave it, such as Demo YouTube. A clear name tells operators exactly where the stream is going.

  • Team: the team the destination belongs to, such as Harbour City FC.

  • Venue / Area: the venue the destination is linked to, such as LIGR Demo Stadium, if you set one.

  • Type: the kind of destination, such as youtube for a YouTube preset or custom for any other platform you set up with your own URL and key.

  • Actions: the DELETE and EDIT buttons for that destination.

Use Search destinations to find one by name, or click FILTERS to narrow a long list.

Edit a destination

  1. Find the destination in the list.

  2. Click EDIT in its row. The destination form opens with the current settings filled in.

  3. Update what you need. The most common change is pasting in a new stream key.

  4. Save your changes.

Many platforms give you a new stream key from time to time, or for each new live event. If the key in LIGR Live no longer matches the one on your platform, the stream cannot reach it. Copy the current key from your platform and paste it into the destination before the match.

You can also update the name, team, venue, preset or stream URL here. Feed type controls whether the destination receives the stream with graphics (Program) or without them (Clean). See Understanding Program vs Clean Feed Types for more.

Delete a destination

  1. Find the destination in the list.

  2. Click DELETE in its row.

  3. Confirm if you are asked to.

Deleting removes the destination from your organisation. Streams that used it will no longer send to that platform. If you only need to change the key or URL, edit the destination instead, so any streams that use it keep working.

Check the Activity tab

Click ACTIVITY, next to DESTINATIONS at the top of the page, to see the history of your destinations. It shows changes such as destinations being created, edited or deleted.

This is useful when a stream does not arrive where you expected. You can quickly see if someone changed or removed the destination before the match.

Tips and common mistakes

  • Name destinations after the platform and channel, such as "YouTube Main Channel", so the right one is easy to pick.

  • Check stream keys before match day. An out of date key is one of the most common reasons a platform shows no video.

  • Treat stream keys like passwords. Anyone with the key can stream to your channel.

  • Edit rather than delete when only the key or URL has changed.

  • If a stream is reaching LIGR Live but not your platform, check the destination's URL and key first, then the settings on the platform itself.
