Overview
When streaming to a destination like YouTube or a custom RTMP endpoint, the destination indicator color tells you where to troubleshoot. Red means LIGR is successfully connected — if the platform isn't receiving your stream, the issue is on the destination side. Yellow means LIGR is still attempting to connect. A warning icon means the connection failed — verify your destination details are correct.
Understanding Destination Indicators
Destination indicators use a color code system to show connection status:
* Gray: Destination configured but not sending
* Yellow: Attempting to connect to destination
* Warning + Retry icon: Failed to connect (retries every ~20 seconds)
* Red: Successfully connected and streaming to destination
Important: If the destination indicator is red, LIGR is successfully connected and streaming. When red, troubleshooting should focus on the destination platform (e.g., YouTube receiving settings, correct event selection, visibility settings) rather than LIGR configuration.
Red Indicator But Platform Not Receiving
If the destination indicator is red but the platform reports it's not receiving your stream, the connection from LIGR to the destination is working. Check these platform-specific settings:
* Verify you selected the correct stream key or event on the destination platform
* Check the destination platform's visibility settings (public, unlisted, private)
* Confirm the destination platform account is in good standing and not restricted
* Verify the destination platform isn't showing any alerts or warnings about the incoming stream
Yellow Indicator (Still Connecting)
If the destination indicator remains yellow, LIGR is attempting to establish a connection. Check these:
* Verify your internet connection is stable
* Check your upload speed is sufficient for the stream bitrate
* Wait a few minutes — initial connection can take time
* Verify destination is checked and "Go Live" was clicked
Warning Icon (Connection Failed)
If the destination indicator shows a warning icon, the connection attempt failed. The system retries approximately every 20 seconds. Verify these settings:
* Check destination RTMP URL is correct (no typos, correct protocol)
* Verify stream key is current and hasn't been regenerated on the platform
* For SRT destinations, confirm the SRT link is valid
* Ensure destination platform credentials haven't expired or been revoked
Verifying Destination Details
To check and correct destination details:
1. From the Matches section, expand the match
2. In the expanded view, locate the destination with the connection issue
3. Check the destination details (RTMP URL and stream key, or SRT link)
4. Compare these details with the credentials shown on the destination platform
5. If incorrect, update the destination settings or create a new destination with the correct details
Feed Type Settings
If graphics aren't showing at the destination but the connection is red, check the feed type setting:
* If graphics aren't showing: check feed type is set to "Program" not "Clean"
* If you want no graphics: set feed type to "Clean"
When to Contact Support
If the destination indicator remains yellow or shows a warning icon after verifying all settings and credentials are correct, and your internet connection is stable, contact LIGR Support via the chat function in the bottom right of the Help Center.
