Overview

Status indicators are visual signals that show the health and state of your streaming components in real-time. LIGR Live uses a consistent color-coded system across all streaming components: gray for idle, yellow/orange for processing, red for live, and warning icons for errors or missing configuration.

You'll see status indicators throughout the Matches section - in the Matches table, in expanded match views, in the Stream Monitoring page, and in Multiview. These indicators let you quickly identify which components are active, which are starting up, and which have configuration issues.

Color Code System

All status indicators follow the same color pattern across streams, overlays, inputs, and destinations:

Gray

Idle - the component exists but is not active. For streams, this means the stream is created but not started. For inputs, this means no video feed is being received. For overlays, this means the overlay exists but is not in use. For destinations, this means the destination is configured but not sending.

Yellow/Orange

Processing - this appears only on stream indicators when a stream is starting up. The stream is initializing and connecting to destinations. This state typically lasts 2-3 minutes.

Red

Live - the component is active and running. For streams, this means the stream is broadcasting. For overlays, this means the overlay is active (either linked to a live LIGR stream OR the production URL is being used in external software like vMix or OBS). For inputs, this means the input is receiving video feed. For destinations, this means the destination is successfully connected and streaming.

Gray Warning Icon

No input assigned - this appears specifically on stream indicators when a stream has been created but no input has been assigned to it. The stream cannot start without an input assignment.

Warning Icon + Retry

Failed to connect - this appears on destination indicators when LIGR attempted to connect to the destination platform but failed. The system automatically retries approximately every 20 seconds.

Stream Status Indicators

Stream indicators show the overall status of a stream:

* Gray: Stream created but not started

* Yellow: Stream is starting up (initializing and connecting to destinations)

* Red: Stream is live and running

* Gray warning icon: Stream has no input assigned (cannot start)

When you see a numerical indicator (e.g., "2" on the stream icon), this shows how many streams are assigned to the match. Click the drop-down arrow to see details of each stream.

Overlay Status Indicators

Overlay indicators show whether graphics are active:

* Gray: Overlay created but not in use

* Red: Overlay is active

An overlay indicator turns red when either the overlay is linked to a live LIGR stream OR when the production URL is being used in external software like vMix or OBS.

When you see a numerical indicator on the overlay icon, this shows how many overlays are assigned to the match.

Input Status Indicators

Input indicators show whether LIGR is receiving video:

* Gray: Input created but not receiving video

* Red: Input is receiving video feed

When the input indicator is red, you can check the bitrate monitor to verify the quality of the incoming video feed. A green bitrate indicator with a KBS value confirms the stream is being received.

Destination Status Indicators

Destination indicators show the connection status to streaming platforms:

* Gray: Destination configured but not sending

* Yellow: Attempting to connect to destination

* Warning + Retry icon: Failed to connect (retries every ~20 seconds)

* Red: Successfully connected and streaming to destination

Critical: If the destination indicator is red, LIGR is successfully connected and streaming. When the indicator is red, troubleshooting should focus on the destination platform (e.g., YouTube receiving settings, correct event selection, visibility settings) rather than LIGR configuration.

Numerical Indicators

When you see a number on an indicator (e.g., "2" on the stream icon), this shows how many of that component are assigned to the match. Click the drop-down arrow next to the match in the Matches table to see details of each component.

For example, if you see "3" on the destination indicator, the match has three destinations configured. Expand the match view to see the status of each individual destination.

Where Status Indicators Appear

You'll see status indicators in several locations:

Matches Table (Live and Upcoming Tab)

Each match row displays status indicators for streams, overlays, inputs, and destinations. This gives you an at-a-glance view of all active matches.

Expanded Match View

Click the drop-down arrow next to a match to see detailed status information for each stream, overlay, input, and destination assigned to that match.

Stream Monitoring Page

Access by clicking "View" from stream actions. The Stream Monitoring page displays detailed status indicators along with bitrate monitors for inputs and destinations.

Multiview

The Multiview shows status indicators for all live streams across your account on one page. Each stream preview tile displays indicators for the stream, graphic overlay, input, and destinations.

Troubleshooting with Status Indicators

Stream Won't Start (Gray Warning Icon on Stream)

This typically means no input is assigned to the stream. Assign an input to the stream by going to stream settings and selecting an input. The stream cannot start without an input assignment.

Stream Stuck on Yellow/Orange

A stream normally takes 2-3 minutes to initialize. If the stream remains yellow for longer than approximately 10 minutes, it may be stuck. A stream cannot be manually stopped while it is still in the starting state. If the stream appears stuck, create a new stream for the match, start the new stream, and confirm it initializes correctly.

Destination Shows Warning Icon

The system failed to connect to the destination platform. Verify the destination details (RTMP/SRT credentials) are correct. The system automatically retries approximately every 20 seconds. If the indicator remains in warning state, check your internet connection and verify the destination platform credentials.

Destination Red but Platform Not Receiving

If the destination indicator is red, LIGR is successfully connected and streaming. The issue is on the destination platform side. Check platform-specific settings such as correct stream key, event selection, and visibility settings on YouTube, Facebook, or your custom RTMP endpoint.
