Overview

Match Center and Stream Monitoring are two separate interfaces in LIGR Live that serve different purposes during a broadcast. Match Center focuses on match events and highlight management, while Stream Monitoring (available in Multiview and Stream View) provides detailed technical monitoring of stream health. Understanding when to use each interface ensures efficient broadcast management.

Match Center Purpose and Features

Match Center is accessed from the Matches section by clicking "Match Center" from a match's Actions menu. It displays:

* Live stream player(s) for all active streams in the selected match

* Real-time timeline of all match events as they are logged (goals, cards, substitutions, period changes)

* Generated highlights that appear in the timeline as they render

* Filtering options to display specific event types

Match Center is where you review highlights immediately after key events, tag them for organization, download them, edit them, and share directly to connected social media accounts. It can also be accessed for completed matches in the Completed tab.

Stream Monitoring Purpose and Features

Stream Monitoring is available in two locations: the Streaming tab (Multiview) for viewing multiple streams simultaneously, and individual Stream View pages accessed from the Matches section.

Stream Monitoring provides:

* Bitrate indicators showing real-time streaming data rate

* Input status and bitrate monitoring

* Destination status for each platform (YouTube, Facebook, custom RTMP endpoints)

* Stream health indicators (gray/yellow/red status)

* Audio settings controls (mix, mute, volume)

* Stream Analytics access via the Stream Session Analyzer

When to Use Match Center

Use Match Center when you need to:

* Monitor match events as they occur in real-time

* Review and manage highlights during or after a match

* Filter events by type to find specific moments

* Combine multiple highlights into compilation videos

* Tag highlights for organization

* Share highlights to social media immediately after events

Match Center is focused on match-event visibility and highlight management, not technical stream monitoring.

When to Use Stream Monitoring

Use Stream Monitoring (Multiview or Stream View) when you need to:

* Check bitrate indicators for connection quality issues

* Monitor input status to verify video source is connected

* Verify destination status and confirm platforms are receiving the stream

* Troubleshoot stream health problems

* Adjust audio settings during a broadcast

* Access Stream Analytics for performance data

* Start or stop streams and destinations

Key Differences

Match Center does not provide:

* Bitrate monitoring

* Input status indicators

* Destination status indicators

* Stream health technical details

* Access to Stream Analytics

Stream Monitoring focuses on technical broadcast quality rather than match events and highlights. If you're experiencing stream quality issues or need to verify technical stream health, use Multiview or Stream View rather than Match Center.

Accessing Each Interface

To access Match Center:

1. Navigate to the Matches section

2. Find your match

3. Click the three-dot Actions menu

4. Select "Match Center"

To access Stream Monitoring:

For individual stream monitoring (Stream View):

1. Navigate to the Matches section

2. Expand the match

3. Click the three-dot action menu next to the stream

4. Select "View"

For multi-stream monitoring (Multiview):

1. Click the Streaming tab in the left-hand dashboard

2. The Multiview page displays all active streams

Overlay Controls Location

Overlay controls are located on the Stream Monitoring page (Stream View), not in Match Center. These controls include:

* Overlay assignment dropdown

* Refresh icon for refreshing the overlay production URL

* Hide Graphics toggle

If you need to refresh an overlay, change overlay assignments, or hide graphics on a LIGR-hosted stream, access these controls from the Stream Monitoring page. The Stream Monitor page is one of the primary locations where you can change overlay assignments for streams.
