Overview
Stream Session Analyzer provides detailed performance metrics and input feed stability data for your live streams. You access it from the Stream Monitoring page to review bitrate graphs, connection stability, and performance details during or after a broadcast. This helps you troubleshoot quality issues and identify connection problems.
How to Access Stream Session Analyzer
1. Navigate to the Matches section and find your match
2. Click the drop-down arrow to expand the match view
3. Click the three-dot Actions menu next to your stream
4. Select "View" to open the Stream Monitoring page
5. Click the three-dot menu in the top right corner of the Stream Monitoring page
6. Select "Stream Analytics"
7. Stream Session Analyzer opens in a new tab
Understanding the Input Feed Stability Graph
The analyzer displays a graph showing your input feed's stability over time. This graph tracks the bitrate and connection quality of the video feed coming into LIGR Live from your camera or encoder.
The graph helps you identify:
* Periods where the input feed dropped or became unstable
* Bitrate fluctuations during the stream
* Connection quality issues that affected stream output
* Patterns of instability that may indicate network problems
Reviewing Performance Details
Below the stability graph, Stream Session Analyzer displays detailed performance metrics for your stream session. These details show technical information about your stream's performance throughout the broadcast.
Use these performance details to:
* Verify the stream maintained expected bitrate levels
* Confirm connection stability throughout the match
* Document stream quality for post-match review
* Identify specific time periods where quality degraded
Using the Analyzer to Troubleshoot Quality Issues
When experiencing streaming quality problems, Stream Session Analyzer helps identify the root cause.
Check the input feed stability graph first:
* Drops in the graph indicate input connection problems
* Consistent low bitrate suggests insufficient upload bandwidth
* Intermittent spikes and drops indicate network instability
* Flat, stable graph means the issue is likely elsewhere
If the graph shows instability, the problem is with your input source (camera, encoder, or network connection to LIGR). If the graph is stable but viewers report quality issues, check your destination platform settings or viewer internet connections.
When to Check Stream Analytics
Access Stream Session Analyzer:
* During live streams when quality issues occur
* After broadcasts to review overall stream performance
* When troubleshooting viewer complaints about quality
* To verify your streaming setup before important matches
* When comparing performance across different matches or venues
