How to add existing teams to a club

Assign existing teams to a club by selecting the club, clicking Add Team to Club, choosing teams from the list, and confirming. Teams inherit club settings unless customized.

Overview

If you've already created teams in LIGR Live, you can assign them to a club so they inherit the club's logo, colors, and venue by default. This is useful when organizing multiple teams under one parent organization.

Before you begin, make sure the club is already created in Assets > Clubs and Teams, and that the teams you want to add already exist in the system.

How to add existing teams to a club

To add existing teams to a club, start by clicking Assets in the left sidebar, then select Clubs and Teams. Next, select the club you want to add teams to, and click Add Team to Club in the top right corner. A list of existing teams will appear - select the teams you want to add, then click Add Teams to Club to confirm.

The selected teams are now assigned to the club and will inherit the club's default settings unless you customize individual teams later.

What teams inherit from clubs

When you add a team to a club, the team automatically inherits the following from the club:

• Club logo

• Club colors (primary, secondary, primary text, secondary text)

• Default venue

These inherited settings can be overridden at the team level by editing the team's Customize tab. Changes made in the Customize tab take precedence over the club's default settings.

Important notes

Keep the following in mind when working with clubs and teams:

• Teams must be assigned to a competition to appear in match creation. Adding a team to a club does not automatically assign it to competitions.

• If you want changes to apply across all teams within a club, edit the parent club instead of individual teams.

• Teams inherit the club's logo by default, but you can upload a unique team logo if desired.
