Running a game plan: Auto mode vs Manual mode

How game plans run in the Control Room's Auto mode, when to switch to Manual, and what to check on match day.

The MANUAL / AUTO switch at the top of the Control Room decides who controls the graphics.

Mode

What happens

Auto

The game plan runs the graphics. Playlists fire on their triggers with no operator clicks. If your theme uses game plans and none is applied, nothing shows.

Manual

The operator controls the graphics from the Control Room. The game plan doesn't fire.

When to switch to Manual

  • Unplanned moments, such as a tribute or a special announcement.

  • Extra graphics in a break. Switch to Manual, show what you need, then switch back to Auto before the next time trigger.

  • A delayed kick-off on external data. Time triggers run off the scheduled start time, so they'd fire early. Run Manual until the match starts.

  • If something looks wrong. Switch to Manual and show just the scorebug while you investigate.

Match-day checklist

  1. The overlay uses the right theme profile.

  2. The game plan is applied to that theme profile.

  3. The game plan has a default scorebug on In Game (Live).

  4. The Control Room is set to Auto.

  5. If you edited the game plan, refresh the overlay.
