A game plan doesn't run on its own. It's linked to a theme, then to the competitions and theme profiles that use it, and finally to the overlay on each match. Understanding this chain is the key to getting the right graphics on the right output.
The chain
Theme. Every game plan belongs to one theme, because it can only use the graphics published to that theme. A game plan built for one theme can't be used on a competition running a different theme.
Competition and theme profile. In the game plan's settings you choose which competitions use it. LIGR only lists competitions that use the game plan's theme. You then pick which of that competition's theme profiles (previously called theme instances) the game plan applies to.
Overlay. Each match overlay uses one theme profile. Whatever game plan is on that theme profile is what plays on that overlay.
One game plan, many competitions
You can use the same game plan on as many competitions and theme profiles as you like: one competition, every competition, or just some of them. When you update the game plan, every competition using it picks up the change.
One competition, several game plans
A competition can have several theme profiles on the same theme, each with a different game plan. This is how you send different graphics to different outputs from the same match. For example:
Media theme profile, full game plan: lineups, goals, cards, stats and ads.
Radar theme profile, scoreboard-only game plan: just the scorebug.
Each overlay is then pointed at the right theme profile. See *Running a full-graphics feed and a scoreboard-only feed*.
Sports and games plans
A game plan is set to one sport. The periods and breaks it offers (for example first break, extra time, shootout) come from that sport, so build a separate game plan, on its own theme, for each sport.
Good to know: If the wrong graphics appear on an output, the most common cause is the overlay pointing at the wrong theme profile, or the game plan not being applied to that theme profile. Check both before anything else.
