What is a theme?

A theme is the look of your broadcast graphics. Here's what it controls, who sets it up, and why it matters.

A theme is the look of every graphic in your broadcast: the scorebug, lower thirds, team lists, match stats and more. Pick a theme, style it to suit your competition, and every match in that competition looks the part without any extra work.

What a theme controls

  • The design of every graphic: shapes, colours, fonts, textures and edges.

  • How graphics animate on and off screen.

  • Which graphics are available to your control room and game plans.

Who it's for

Whoever looks after your broadcast's branding, often an admin or producer. It's usually set up once per competition, well before match day.

Why it makes life easier

  • Ready-made. Start from a LIGR theme instead of designing graphics from scratch.

  • Your look, your way. LIGR's new themes have hundreds of thousands of possible combinations of style, colour, font and texture.

  • Set once. Assign it to a competition and every match picks it up.

  • Faster setup. Generate a starting game plan and control room straight from your theme.

Your path through this guide

  1. Build your look: choose a theme, style it, and save it as a theme profile.

  2. Put your theme to work: connect a game plan and control room, and make changes later.

  3. Take it further: custom themes, older themes and troubleshooting.
