Once you've created a competition, you can come back to it at any time to update its details, check which teams belong to it and see how its graphics are set up. This article walks through each area of a competition, using the LIGR Demo League as an example.

Before you start
You need a competition already created. To open it, go to Assets > Competitions and click the competition you want to work on.
The theme profile and graphics areas only matter if your organisation has the Broadcast Graphics module. Automation needs Graphics too.
Editing competition details (General tab)
The General tab lets you edit the details you entered when you created the competition. You can change any of these fields:
Competition name: the name used throughout LIGR Live.
Graphics display name: how the competition appears on your overlays. Keep this short so it fits neatly on graphics such as the scorebug.
Age group, Gender and Division: help you identify and organise the competition.
When you've finished, click Save at the bottom of the screen to apply your changes.
Logo and watermarks
Further down the General tab are the competition logo and watermarks your graphics use. To upload or replace one:
Click the upload button for the logo or watermark.
Choose your image, then crop it and remove the background if needed.
Click Save in the image editor.
Click Save at the bottom of the screen to keep the change.
Competition images
Competition images are extra images your graphics can show. These include promo images, a medium logo and a QR code. For example, you might add a QR code that links viewers to your LIGR Demo League website, so a graphic can display it during a break.
Teams tab
The Teams tab lists every team in this competition. Only these teams can be picked when you create a match, so if Harbour City (HCF) and Ridgeview (RVR) are going to play each other, both need to appear here.
You can click Create Team to add a new team directly to this competition, or simply use the list to check which teams are available for matches.
Theme Profiles
Theme Profiles sets the look of the competition's graphics, such as colours, textures, fonts and animations. To change it, click Edit Profile. This takes you to the theme profile editor in the Themes tab, where you can adjust the style of each graphic and preview it.
Automation and Control Room
Automation and Control Room shows what runs the graphics for this competition:
A game plan runs the graphics automatically.
A control room is where an operator runs the graphics manually.
If either shows as Unassigned, nothing has been linked yet. You can assign or generate them from the theme profile's details and settings in the Themes tab.
Theme Variables
Theme Variables hold the text your graphics show, like promo titles. You type the text once here and every graphic that uses it picks it up, so you don't need to edit each graphic separately.
Image Templates
Image Templates choose which image each graphic uses. For example, a graphic might use the competition logo, or show player head shots from your player profiles.
External Data
External Data shows data pushed in for your graphics, like tables and results, along with when each item was last updated. Check the last updated time if a table or result graphic looks out of date.
Tips and common mistakes
Always click Save at the bottom of the General tab. Saving in the image editor alone doesn't apply your other changes.
Use images with transparent or removed backgrounds for logos and watermarks so they sit cleanly on your graphics.
If a team is missing when you create a match, check the Teams tab first. The team must belong to the competition.
Set up your venue next. Venues come before clubs and matches in the setup order.
