Overview
Context behaviors can automatically read player data from team sheets or incoming substitution events, instantly generating the correct names, numbers, and badges.
You'll use this feature when:
Substitutions occur and you need a graphic to instantly display both the player coming on and the player coming off.
You need to quickly pull up generic lower thirds for specific players starting the match.
Prerequisites
Substitution and generic player templates added to the control room.
Completed team sheets available in the Teams tab.
How to Configure Context for Substitutions
Edit the Lower Third Substitution graphic and navigate to Context.
Set the Context Type to "Substitution Event" and set the Fact to "Event".
Click Update Graphic.
Trigger a substitution in the Live Score App to verify that clicking the event instantly loads the correct outgoing/incoming players in the preview.
How to Configure Context for Generic Player Graphics
Add a generic player template (e.g., "L3 Name Supers") to the control room.
Set the single variable exposed to the operator as "Player".
Go to Context and set the type to "Player" and the value to "Player".
Click Update Graphic.
Click on any player's name in the starting team rosters to instantly populate a generic lower third with their correct number, name, and team badge.
Tips
Generic player lower thirds are excellent fallback graphics, allowing operators to instantly generate information just by clicking the team sheet without waiting for a specific match event
