Overview

Theme instances allow you to create multiple output configurations from a single game plan. For example, you can create a full-graphics media stream with all overlays and a scoreboard-only stream for radar/IMG distribution. Each instance shares the same match data but displays different graphic configurations.

You'll use theme instances when broadcasting to multiple destinations that require different graphic setups — such as a primary media screen with full graphics and a secondary feed for distribution partners who need only the scoreboard overlay.

Key Concepts

Theme Instance: A separate configuration of the same game plan that outputs to different destinations. Each instance can have its own graphics settings while sharing the same match data.

Full-Graphics Instance: A theme instance that includes all graphics: scoreboard, lower-thirds, player stats, animations, and advertisements.

Scoreboard-Only Instance: A theme instance that displays only the scoreboard overlay, creating a clean output with essential match information.

How to Create a Full-Graphics Theme Instance

1. Navigate to your game plan in the Automation section

2. Create the first theme instance for your primary media stream

3. Configure this instance to include all graphics: scoreboard, lower-thirds, player stats, animations, and advertisements

4. Set this instance as your primary output for media broadcasts

How to Create a Scoreboard-Only Theme Instance

1. Create a second theme instance in your game plan

2. Remove all graphics except the scoreboard

3. Configure the scoreboard-specific control variables for this instance:

* Stoppage time display

* Card indicators

* Substitution counters

* Period/half indicators

4. Set this instance as your output for radar/IMG distribution or partner feeds

How Match Data Works Across Instances

Theme instances share the same match data. Changes to score, time, or events update across all instances simultaneously.

This means when a goal is scored or a card is issued, both your full-graphics instance and scoreboard-only instance reflect the update in real-time, even though they display different graphic configurations.

Testing Both Output Streams

1. Preview both theme instances to verify they display correctly

2. Confirm the full-graphics instance shows all overlays as expected

3. Verify the scoreboard-only instance shows a clean feed with only the scoreboard

4. Check that match data updates appear correctly in both instances

Additional Theme Instance Options

You can create more than two instances. For example, you could create a third instance for social media with a different graphic style, each instance configured for its specific output destination while all sharing the same match data.
