Overview
Themes are graphics packages that control the visual appearance of all overlays and graphics during your broadcasts. When you create a competition, you select a theme that determines how scoreboards, lower thirds, player information, and all other on-screen graphics look for matches in that competition.
Each competition must have one theme assigned. The theme defines what graphics look like during breaks, during play, and for player information displays.
What Themes Control
Themes determine the visual design of all broadcast graphics including:
* Scoreboards and match information overlays
* Player graphics and statistics displays
* Break graphics shown during half-time and pre-match
* Lower thirds and event graphics
* The overall visual style and branding of your broadcast
Skins Within Themes
Each theme includes different skins, which are color profiles that change the appearance of the graphics while maintaining the same layout and structure. You can select different skins when setting up a competition or change the skin later by editing the theme instance.
Skins allow you to customize the color scheme to match team colors, league branding, or seasonal variations without changing the entire graphics package.
How Themes Are Assigned
Themes are assigned at the competition level. When you create a competition, you browse available themes and select one. The theme you choose automatically applies to all matches created under that competition.
To assign a theme when creating a competition:
1. Click Assets tab, then Competitions
2. Click Create a Competition
3. Browse available themes and click Select and Configure on your preferred theme
4. Review how the theme looks during different match moments
5. Select different skins if desired to change the color profile
6. Click Use this theme
Changing Themes
You can change a competition's theme after creation using the Theme Instance tab. This allows you to switch to a different graphics package or update the color profile without recreating the competition.
To change a theme for an existing competition:
1. Click Assets, then Competitions
2. Select the competition
3. Click the Theme Instances tab
4. Click Add Theme Instance
5. Select your new preferred theme
6. Configure the theme settings as needed
7. The new theme will apply to the competition
Editing Theme Colors
To update the color profile for an existing competition's theme:
1. Click Assets, then Competitions
2. Select the competition you wish to edit
3. Click the Theme Instances tab
4. Find the theme you wish to edit from the list
5. Click the Edit icon button
6. Select Change Skin to modify the color profile
Theme and Match Configuration
When you select a theme during competition creation, you also configure match settings that work alongside the theme. These settings include half length, clock display options, and stats tracking. The theme handles how this information appears visually, while the match configuration determines what information is captured and displayed.
Themes and match configuration work together to create your complete broadcast graphics package, with the theme controlling appearance and the settings controlling functionality.
