With your competition, venue and teams ready, you can create a match. Most of the settings fill in from your competition, so creating a match mostly means picking who, when and where.

Before you start
A competition. See How to create a competition.
Two teams that are both in that competition. See How to add teams to a club.
A venue created in Assets. See How to add a venue.
Create a match
Go to Matches and click Create Match.
Competition. Pick this first, for example LIGR Demo League. It sets which teams you can choose, and fills in the match settings from the competition.
Home team and Away team. Choose each team, for example Harbour City as the home team and Ridgeview as the away team. Only teams in the competition you picked appear here.
Date and Time. Set when the match starts. This is the time the match shows in your Matches table.
Venue. Pick where the match is played, for example LIGR Demo Stadium. Only venues created in Assets appear here.
Live Scorer. Optional. This is the person who logs match events in the LiveScore app. You can leave it empty and set it later.
Check the settings that were filled in from your competition (see below).
Click Create and Return or Create and Configure.
Settings filled in from your competition
When you pick the competition, the rest of the form fills in from its settings. Check them before you create the match. Any change you make here only affects this match, not the competition or other matches.
Period config
The timing for the match. For football this is the half length and half-time length in minutes, and whether extra time, golden goal or a penalty shootout is used. The options shown depend on the sport.
Stats
Stat coverage, either Minimum for the essentials or Standard for more detail.
Players
With Players on, you get player graphics and player events, such as who scored. You can also choose which player events are logged. With Players off, the match runs without player names.
Line-up settings
The starting line-up size and the most players allowed on the bench, for example 11 starters for football.
Advanced
Clock settings: whether the match uses a clock, whether it counts up or down, cumulative time and injury time.
Create and Return or Create and Configure
Create and Return saves the match and takes you back to the Matches table. Use it when you're adding several matches in a row.
Create and Configure saves the match and takes you straight to its streams and overlays, so you can get it ready to go live.
Either way, your match now appears in the Matches table. Any default streams and overlays from your competition are already attached.
Tips and common mistakes
A team doesn't appear. It isn't in the competition you picked. Add the competition on the team's General tab. See Why teams don't appear when creating matches.
The venue doesn't appear. It hasn't been created in Assets yet, or it was archived.
No player names in the match. Make sure Players is on, and that both teams have players before the match.
You can change everything later on the match page, but only until the match starts.
