Why club setting changes don't affect teams

Teams inherit club settings by default, but team-specific customizations override club defaults. Remove team customizations to use club settings, or edit the club to apply changes across all teams.

Overview

Teams inherit club settings by default — logos, colors, and venue. When you customize a team (upload a unique team logo, change colors, etc.), those customizations override the club defaults. Changes made to the club will not affect teams that have been customized.

If you want changes to apply across all teams within a club, edit the parent club instead. If you want a team to use club settings again, remove the team-specific customizations.

Why club changes don't affect a team

When you update club settings (logo, colors, venue), teams inherit those changes by default. However, if you've customized the team in the Customize tab, those customizations take priority.

Example:

* You upload a new logo to the club

* Team A automatically shows the new logo (no customizations)

* Team B still shows the old logo (you previously uploaded a unique team logo)

Team B's customization overrides the club default. To use the new club logo, you must remove the team-specific logo.

How to make a team use club settings

To remove team customizations and use club settings:

1. Click Assets in the left sidebar

2. Select Clubs and Teams

3. Select the team

4. Click the Customize tab

5. Remove the customized settings:

* Delete the team-specific logo to use the club logo

* Reset team colors to use club colors

* Reset the venue to use the club's default venue

6. Click Save

The team now inherits settings from the club. Future club changes will apply to this team.

How to apply changes across all teams

If you want changes to apply to all teams within a club:

1. Edit the parent club (not individual teams)

2. Click Assets in the left sidebar

3. Select Clubs and Teams

4. Select the club

5. Make your changes (logo, colors, venue)

6. Click Save

All teams that have NOT been customized will automatically use the updated club settings.

Important: Teams with customizations will not change. You must remove their customizations first if you want them to use the club settings.

When to customize teams vs. edit the club

Edit the club when:

* You want changes to apply across all teams

* Teams share the same logo, colors, and venue

* You want consistent branding for the entire club

Customize individual teams when:

* A team needs a unique logo (e.g., age-group team with different branding)

* A team uses different colors (e.g., reserve team with alternate kit colors)

* A team plays at a different venue

Common scenarios

Scenario: You updated the club logo but one team still shows the old logo

Solution: The team has a customized logo. Edit the team, go to the Customize tab, delete the team logo, and click Save. The team will now use the club logo.

Scenario: You want all teams to use new club colors but one team won't update

Solution: The team has customized colors. Edit the team, go to the Customize tab, reset the colors to match the club, and click Save.

Scenario: You want to change one team's logo without affecting others

Solution: Edit the specific team (not the club), go to the Customize tab, upload the unique logo, and click Save. This team now uses its own logo, while other teams continue using the club logo.
