Overview

A competition is a league, tournament, or season. When you create a competition, you select a graphics theme that determines how all overlays and graphics look for matches in that competition. Competitions also store pre-configured match settings (half length, stats tracking, etc.) that automatically apply to new matches.

You need to set up at least one competition before creating matches. At minimum, you need one competition and two teams to create your first match.

Step-by-step: How to create your first competition

1. Click Assets tab, then Competitions

2. Click Create a Competition (red button, top right)

3. Browse available themes and click Select and Configure on your preferred theme

4. Review how the theme looks during different match moments (break graphics, in-match graphics, player graphics)

5. Select different skins if desired to change the color profile

6. Click Use this theme (red button, top right)

7. Fill out competition details:

* Select sport

* Enter competition name

* Enter graphics display name (how it appears on overlays)

* Select age group

* Select gender

* Select division

8. Upload competition logo (required):

* Click upload button

* Crop image and remove background if needed

* Click Save

9. Upload primary watermark (required) - same process as logo

10. Optionally upload secondary watermark

11. Click Create Competition

After creation, you'll see the competition's general settings page where you can edit details, view assigned teams, and configure additional settings.

What is a graphics display name?

Graphics display name controls how the competition name appears on broadcast graphics. You typically set three versions: Full Name (longest), Medium Name (mid-length), and Short Name (abbreviated). This ensures names fit properly in different graphic layouts.

What is a theme?

Themes are graphics packages that control the visual appearance of all overlays. Each competition must have one theme. Themes include different skins (color profiles) and determine what graphics look like during breaks, during play, and for player information.

What happens after I create a competition?

After creating a competition, you can:

* Edit competition details in General Settings

* Change the theme using the Theme Instances tab

* Assign teams to this competition so they're available when creating matches

* Configure match settings that automatically apply to all new matches

* Add stream destinations and overlay configurations that automatically apply to new matches
