Upload images to Multimedia

Upload logos, crests, sponsor art and cards to your Images library one at a time or in bulk, then assign them to a competition for use in graphics.

The Images library in Multimedia holds the logos, crests, sponsor art and cards you use in your live graphics. This article shows you how to upload a single image, how to add lots of images at once with Bulk Upload, and how to assign images to a competition so they show up when you need them on air.

Before you start

  • Have your image files saved on your computer and named clearly, for example HCF crest or Ridgeview sponsor card. Clear names make images much easier to find later.

  • Make sure the competition you want to use the images in already exists, such as LIGR Demo League. You will need it when you assign images after uploading.

What the Images library is for

Images are used by your graphics during live broadcasts. Typical examples include:

  • Club and team logos or crests, such as Harbour City (HCF) and Ridgeview (RVR).

  • Sponsor artwork you want to show during a match.

  • Cards and other artwork used in your graphics.

Uploading an image puts it in your library. To make it available in the Graphic Control Room for a match, you also assign it to the right competition (covered below).

Upload a single image

  1. Go to the Multimedia tab and open Images.

  2. Click Upload Image. An upload window opens.

  3. Drag your image file from your computer into the upload area. If you prefer, click the upload area to browse your files and select the image.

  4. Check you have picked the right file, then click Upload.

The image is added to your Images library and appears alongside your other images. You can upload another straight away by repeating the steps.

Upload lots of images at once

If you have a full set of logos, crests or sponsor art to add, uploading them one by one takes time. Use Bulk Upload instead.

  1. Go to Multimedia and open Images.

  2. Click Bulk Upload.

  3. Select a file or a folder containing the images you want to add.

  4. Confirm the upload.

All the images from the file or folder are uploaded and appear in your Images library. Bulk Upload is handy at the start of a season, when you are setting up every club in a competition at once.

Assign images to a competition

After uploading, assign each image to the competition it belongs to. This is what makes it appear in the Graphic Control Room during streams.

  1. In Images, click an image to open it in full-screen view.

  2. Click in the Competition field and select the competition this image belongs to, for example LIGR Demo League.

  3. Click Save at the bottom of the screen.

When a match is created under a specific competition and you add a graphic overlay to that match, only images assigned to that competition appear in the Graphic Control Room. For example, a Harbour City v Ridgeview match in LIGR Demo League will only show images assigned to LIGR Demo League.

Tips and common mistakes

  • Image missing in the Control Room? The most common cause is that it has not been assigned to the match's competition. Open the image, check the Competition field and click Save.

  • Forgetting to save. Changes to the Competition field are not kept until you click Save.

  • Bulk uploads still need assigning. Images added with Bulk Upload go into your library, but you still need to assign them to a competition before they are available for that competition's matches.

  • Upload before match day. Add and assign your images well before kick off so you can check them in your graphics ahead of going live.

  • Keep names consistent. Using the same naming style for every club and sponsor makes images quick to find when your library grows.
