What Videos is for

The Videos library is for video files you bring into LIGR yourself, separate from highlights and match recordings. Typical uses include:

  • Hold screens to show before kick-off or during breaks.

  • Promos for upcoming matches or club news.

  • Ads and sponsor videos.

  • Pre-rolls and post-rolls that open or close your highlights and compilations.

Upload a video

  1. Go to Multimedia and click Videos.

  2. Click Upload Video and select your video file.

  3. Wait for the upload to finish. The video appears in your Videos library.

Upload several videos at once

  1. In Videos, click Bulk Upload.

  2. Select several files, or a whole folder of videos.

  3. Every video you select uploads and appears in your library.

Open a video and add details

  1. Click a video in the library to open it. You can play it back in the player to check it's the right file.

  2. In Details, add a description. Search looks at descriptions as well as names, so a short note such as "Sponsor ad, 15 seconds, landscape" makes the video easy to find later.

  3. Click the name to rename the video if needed.

  4. Choose a Competition if the video belongs to one. Videos assigned to a competition are available when you set up features that filter by competition, such as pre-rolls and post-rolls in highlight settings and compilation templates.

  5. Click Save to keep your changes.

Use the menu

With the video open, open its menu to see more actions:

  • Set position: set the video's position.

  • Edit in the Video Editor: open the video in the Video Editor to trim it, add graphics, transitions or audio, and export a new version.

  • Swap the file: replace the video with a different file. Use this when you have an updated version of an ad or promo, so you don't need to set everything up again.

  • Duplicate: make a copy of the video. Handy when you want a variation while keeping the original untouched.

  • Archive: remove the video from your active library. Archiving tidies your library without deleting the video.

Tips and common mistakes

  • Can't see a video as a pre-roll option? Check it's assigned to the same competition you're setting up.

  • Use swap, not re-upload. When a sponsor sends a new ad, swapping the file keeps everything in one place instead of leaving two similar videos in your library.

  • Archive old content regularly. A tidy library makes it faster to find what you need on matchday.

  • Name files clearly. Include the sponsor or purpose and the length, for example Demo Sponsor Ad 15s.
