Upload audio and transitions

Add music, sound effects, wipes and stingers to your Multimedia library so they are ready to use when you edit highlights and videos.

The Audio and Transitions sections of the Multimedia tab hold the music, sound effects, wipes and stingers you use when you edit highlights and videos. This article shows you how to upload files to each section so they are ready to use in your edits.

Before you start

  • Save the audio or transition file on your computer so you can find it quickly when you upload.

  • Make sure you have the right to use any music or sound you upload, especially if your videos will be published on social media or streaming platforms. Unlicensed music can lead to videos being muted or taken down.

  • Give your files clear names before you upload, for example HCF Goal Music or LIGR Demo League Stinger. A clear name makes it much easier to pick the right file later.

What audio and transitions are for

Audio is your library of music and sound for edits. Use it for background music under a highlights package, an intro sting at the start of a video, or a sound effect to emphasise a big moment.

Transitions is your library of wipes and stingers that play between clips. A wipe moves one clip off screen as the next one comes on. A stinger is a short animated graphic, such as a club logo sweeping across the screen, that covers the cut between two clips. Transitions make a highlights package feel polished and on brand, for example a Harbour City (HCF) logo stinger between each goal against Ridgeview (RVR).

Anything you upload to these sections is stored with your organisation, so you can reuse it across many matches and videos without uploading it again.

Upload an audio file

  1. Open the Multimedia tab and go to the Audio section.

  2. Click Upload Audio. A window opens so you can add your file.

  3. Select the audio file from your computer.

  4. Click Upload.

  5. Wait for the upload to finish. Larger files take longer, so keep the page open until it completes.

  6. Your file appears in the audio list, ready to use in your edits.

Upload a transition

Transitions upload the same way as audio.

  1. In the Multimedia tab, go to the Transitions section.

  2. Click the upload button to open the upload window.

  3. Select your wipe or stinger file from your computer.

  4. Click Upload.

  5. Once the upload finishes, the transition appears in the transitions list.

Using your uploads

After upload, your audio and transitions are available when you edit highlights and videos. In the Video Editor you can add audio to your timeline, adjust clip audio and use ducking to lower the music under commentary or crowd noise. You can also place transitions between clips so each moment flows into the next.

Because the files live in your library, you can build a consistent look and sound across a whole season. For example, use the same LIGR Demo League stinger and intro music on every match highlights package.

Tips and common mistakes

  • Keep stingers short. A transition that runs too long slows down your highlights and can hide part of the action.

  • Check the file before uploading. Play it on your computer first to make sure it is the right version and the volume level is sensible.

  • Don't close the page mid upload. If you leave before the upload finishes, the file may not appear in the list and you will need to upload it again.

  • Organise as you go. Use consistent names for club and competition files so other people in your organisation can find the right audio or transition quickly.

  • Can't see your file? Refresh the list and check you uploaded it to the right section. Audio files go in Audio and wipes or stingers go in Transitions.
