Highlight Settings decide which match events are saved as highlight clips automatically while your match is streaming. You set them once per competition, and every match in that competition then uses the same rules.
Before you start
Your competition must already exist in Assets, for example LIGR Demo League.
Highlights need the Streaming module. Clips are only captured while a match is live on a LIGR stream.
Match events must be logged during the stream, either in the LiveScore app or through an external data feed. No events means no clips.
If you want a pre-roll or post-roll, upload the video to Multimedia > Videos first.
If you want to use Auto-Publish, connect your social media accounts in Profile > Connections first.
Open Highlight Settings
Go to the Multimedia tab and open Highlights.
Click the Settings tab.
Set this up before your first stream in the competition. If no events are configured when the match goes live, nothing is captured.
Choose the competition
Settings are saved per competition, so start by picking the right one.
Click the competition dropdown at the top of the Settings tab.
Select your competition, for example LIGR Demo League.
Anything you add or change below applies only to that competition. Every match in it, such as Harbour City (HCF) v Ridgeview (RVR), uses these settings. If you run more than one competition, select each one in turn and configure it separately. Each can have different events, timings and branding.
Add events and set lead and lag
Each event type gets its own lead and lag. That means a goal can get more build-up than a card.
Click Add Event.
Select the match event type you want to capture, such as a goal, penalty or card.
Set Lead seconds. This is how much video is captured before the event. The default is 15 seconds.
Set Lag seconds. This is how much video is captured after the event. The default is also 15 seconds.
Repeat for every event type you want clipped.
For example, a goal logged at 23:45 with a 15 second lead and a 15 second lag produces a clip from 23:30 to 24:00. You might give goals a longer lead so viewers see the whole attacking move, and give cards a shorter lead because the moment itself matters most.
To remove an event, click the three-dot menu next to it and select Remove.
Add a pre-roll or post-roll
A pre-roll plays at the start of each clip and a post-roll plays at the end. Use them to open or close every highlight with your branding, such as a league ident or a sponsor sting.
Both are optional. You can use one, both or neither.
Only videos can be used. Images are not supported here.
The video must already be uploaded to Multimedia > Videos to appear in the list.
Keep these videos short. They play on every clip, so a long intro can quickly make highlights feel slow.
Turn on Auto-Publish
Toggle on Auto-Publish if you want each clip published as soon as it's saved. Clips post automatically to your connected social media accounts the moment they finish rendering, so fans see goals while the match is still on.
Leave it off if you prefer to review, edit or combine clips in Highlights before sharing them yourself.
When everything is set, click Save at the bottom of the screen. Your changes are not applied until you save.
Tips and common mistakes
If highlights aren't capturing, work through these checks in order:
Is the right competition selected in the Settings tab, with events added and saved?
Is Generate Highlights turned on in the Recording section of the stream settings for this match? Open the stream's UPDATE STREAM SETTINGS window to check.
Are events being logged, either in the LiveScore app or through a working external data feed?
Is the stream actually live? Clips are only captured during an active broadcast.
If Auto-Publish isn't posting, check that your accounts are still connected in Profile > Connections.
