Combine highlights into one video

Select two or more highlight clips in Multimedia and join them into a single video you can watch, download or share.

You can join several highlight clips into one video in a few clicks. This is handy for quick match recaps, goal packages or a short reel for social media. This article shows you how to select your clips, combine them and check the result.

Before you start

  • Your organisation needs the Highlights & Clipping module. Highlights depend on Cloud Streaming, so the match must have been streamed through LIGR Live.

  • The match needs at least two highlight clips. Highlights are created from your stream, for example when events are logged in the LiveScore app or when you clip moments yourself.

  • Make sure you can access the Multimedia tab. If you can't see it, ask an Owner or Admin in your organisation to check your role.

Combine your highlights

Step 1: Find the clips you want

  1. Open the Multimedia tab and go to your highlights.

  2. Use the filter options to narrow the list. For example, filter to show only the highlights from Harbour City (HCF) v Ridgeview (RVR) in the LIGR Demo League.

  3. If you're not sure what a clip contains, open it and watch it first. This saves you combining the wrong moments.

Step 2: Tick each clip

  1. Tick the checkbox on each highlight you want to include.

  2. Select at least two clips. Combining only makes sense with more than one.

  3. To remove a clip from your selection, untick it.

Step 3: Click Combine

  1. Once your clips are ticked, click Combine at the top of the highlights list.

  2. LIGR Live joins your selected clips in order into a single video.

  3. Processing can take a little while, depending on how many clips you selected and how long they are. You can keep working in other parts of the app while it runs.

Step 4: Check the combined video

  1. When processing finishes, find your new video in Multimedia and play it through from start to finish.

  2. Check that every clip you wanted is there, that they play in the order you expect, and that no moments are cut short.

  3. When you're happy with it, download or share the video the same way you would with a single highlight.

Why combine highlights?

Single clips are great for posting one moment as it happens. A combined video is better when you want to tell the story of the match in one file. Common uses include:

  • A full-time recap with all the goals from the match.

  • A short package of saves, cards or key moments for one team.

  • A single file to send to a club, coach or media partner instead of lots of separate downloads.

Tips and common mistakes

  • Fix clip length first. The combined video uses each clip as it is. If a clip starts too late or ends too early, adjust its lead and lag in your highlight settings before you combine.

  • Check your selection before clicking Combine. It's easy to leave an old clip ticked, especially if you've been filtering between matches. Scroll through the list and confirm only the clips you want are selected.

  • Keep it short for social media. A few strong moments usually work better than every clip from the match.

  • Need more control? Combine is the quickest way to join clips. If you want to build a more polished package, for example with titles, transitions or your own running order, use compilations or the Video Editor instead.

  • Your original clips stay as they are. Combining creates a new video. The individual highlights remain available, so you can reuse them or combine a different set later.
