Owner and Admin are the two highest permission levels in LIGR Live, giving users broad control over an Organisation's assets, matches, users, and settings.
This guide explains what each role can do, how they differ, and when to assign one over the other.
What Are Organisation Permissions?
Permissions in LIGR Live determine what a user can see and do within your Organisation. The Organisation is the top-level account that contains all your Competitions, Clubs, Teams, Matches, and users.
Each user invited to your Organisation is assigned one role. Owner and Admin are the two most powerful roles, sitting above standard User, Gameday Operator, Live Scorer, and Media Viewer roles.

The Owner Role
The Owner is the highest permission level in LIGR Live. There is typically one Owner per Organisation, and this is usually the person who originally created the account.
What an Owner Can Do
• Full access to all features across the Organisation
• Manage billing and subscription settings
• Add, remove, and change the roles of all users, including Admins
• Transfer ownership of the Organisation to another user
• Create, edit, and delete any asset (Competitions, Clubs, Teams, Players, Venues, Image Templates)
• Access all Matches, Control Rooms, and streaming settings
• Manage FUSE graphics, Themes, and Theme Instances
• Configure Ad Sets and Allocations
Owner-Only Actions
Some actions are restricted to the Owner and cannot be performed by an Admin:
• Viewing and updating billing details
• Changing the subscription plan
• Transferring ownership to another user
• Deleting the Organisation
The Admin Role
The Admin role is designed for trusted team members who need broad operational control but should not have access to billing or ownership.
What an Admin Can Do
• Create, edit, and delete assets (Competitions, Clubs, Teams, Players, Venues)
• Create and manage Matches
• Invite new users and assign roles (except Owner)
• Access the Control Room for any Match
• Configure Themes, Theme Instances, and Automated Game Plans
• Manage Ad Sets and Allocations
• Access FUSE and edit graphics
• Configure Inputs, Destinations, and streaming settings
What an Admin Cannot Do
• Access billing or change the subscription plan
• Transfer or claim ownership of the Organisation
• Remove or change the role of the Owner

When to Assign Each Role
Use the following guidance when inviting users:
• Assign Owner to the single person ultimately responsible for the account and its billing. Usually this stays with the original account creator.
• Assign Admin to production managers, senior operators, or team members who set up Competitions, Matches, and graphics on a regular basis.
• For day-to-day operators who only run the Control Room during Matches, use the Gameday Operator role instead.
• For scorers using the LiveScore App, use the Live Scorer role.
How to Change a User's Role
1. Go to your Profile and open the Permissions section.
2. Locate the user in the Organisation user list.
3. Click the role dropdown next to their name.
4. Select the new role (Admin, User, Gameday Operator, Live Scorer, or Media Viewer).
5. Save your changes.
Only an Owner can promote a user to Admin or change an existing Admin's role.

How to Transfer Ownership
Ownership can only be transferred by the current Owner.
1. Open the Permissions section in your Profile.
2. Find the user you want to make the new Owner. They must already be a member of your Organisation.
3. Select the Transfer Ownership option.
4. Confirm the transfer.
Once the transfer is complete, the previous Owner will be downgraded to an Admin role.
Tips
• Keep the number of Admins small. Fewer Admins means fewer chances of accidental changes to Competitions, Themes, or Matches.
• Before transferring ownership, make sure the new Owner has access to the email address on the account, as billing notifications will be sent to them.
• If a team member only needs to operate Matches on gameday, assign them Gameday Operator rather than Admin to limit what they can change.
• Review your user list regularly and remove access for people who no longer need it.
Common Issues
I can't see the billing section as an Admin. This is expected. Billing is restricted to the Owner. Ask the Owner to update billing details or transfer ownership if needed.
I'm the Owner but I want to step back from the account. Use the Transfer Ownership option to pass the role to another user. You will remain on the account as an Admin unless removed.
I can't change another user's role. Only Owners can change the role of an Admin. If you are an Admin, you can manage other roles but not other Admins or the Owner.
The new Admin can't access a Competition or Match. Admins have access to everything in the Organisation by default. If they can't see something, check they are logged in under the correct Organisation.
