Changing a user's role in LIGR Live lets you control what they can access and do within your Organisation, from full administrative control to scorer-only access.
Before You Start
To change another user's role, you must be signed in as an Owner or Admin of the Organisation. Only an Owner can assign or transfer the Owner role.
Overview of User Roles
LIGR Live offers several role levels at the Organisation level:
• Owner — Full access to all features, including billing and ownership transfer.
• Admin — Can manage most settings, but cannot access billing or transfer ownership.
• User — Standard access for production operators.
• Gameday Operator — Can create matches, manage overlays, and operate the Control Room.
• Live Scorer — Access limited to the LiveScore App for recording Match Facts.
• Media Viewer — View-only access to recordings, Highlights, and other media.
Club-scoped roles (Club Super Admin, Club Admin, Club User) are managed separately within the Club Portal.

The user's access level updates immediately. They may need to refresh or sign in again to see the changes reflected in their interface.
Transferring Ownership
Only the current Owner can transfer the Owner role to another user. Once transferred, the previous Owner becomes an Admin unless their role is changed again.
1. As the Owner, go to the Permissions section.
2. Select the user you want to promote to Owner.
3. Choose the Owner role and confirm the transfer.

Tips
• Assign Gameday Operator to staff who only need access to the Control Room during matches.
• Use Live Scorer for volunteers or club staff who only need the LiveScore App.
• Review your user list regularly to remove access for people who no longer need it.
• If a user works across multiple clubs, consider whether Club Portal roles are more appropriate than Organisation-level roles.
Common Issues
• Role option is greyed out: You may not have permission to assign that role. Only Owners can assign the Owner role.
• User cannot see new features after role change: Ask them to sign out and sign back in.
• User is missing from the list: They may not have accepted their invitation yet, or they belong to the Club Portal rather than the Organisation.
• Cannot change the Owner's role: Ownership must be transferred to another user first before the original Owner's role can be changed.
