Understanding Usage Limits

Written by Julian Rodrigues

Usage limits in LIGR Live define how much of each feature your Organisation can consume within your current plan, helping you track activity and avoid unexpected interruptions during live production.

What Usage Limits Cover

Your LIGR Live plan includes allowances across different areas of the platform. Understanding what counts toward your limits helps you plan competitions, matches, and streaming activity more effectively.

Typical usage areas tracked in your Organisation include:

Matches created within a billing period

Streaming hours consumed through Inputs and Destinations

Storage used by match recordings, Highlights, Moments, and Compilations

Users added to your Organisation

Competitions and other Assets

Where to View Your Usage

You can check your current usage at any time from your Profile area.

1. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner of LIGR Live.

2. Select Billing and Usage.

3. Review the usage meters displayed for each category.

Each meter shows your current consumption against your plan's allowance for the billing period.

How Usage Resets

Usage counters typically reset at the start of each billing cycle. Storage-based usage (such as recordings and media) is cumulative and continues to count until media is deleted from your Organisation.

Billing Period Usage

Items like matches and streaming hours are counted per billing period and reset when your next cycle begins.

Cumulative Usage

Items like stored recordings, Highlights, and Compilations remain counted for as long as they exist in your Organisation.

Managing Your Usage

If you are approaching a limit, there are a few things you can do:

Delete old recordings, Moments, or Compilations you no longer need to free up storage.

Archive or remove unused Assets such as old Competitions, Teams, or Clubs.

Remove inactive Users from your Organisation.

Upgrade your plan to increase your allowances.

To change your plan, go to Billing and Usage and review the available options. Only users with the Owner role can make billing changes.

Tips

• Check your usage regularly before major events or tournaments to make sure you have capacity for upcoming matches and streaming.

• Clean up test matches and sample Assets created during setup to avoid counting them toward your limits.

• Assign the Owner role carefully, as only Owners can adjust plans and billing.

• Plan your Competitions ahead of time so you know roughly how many matches and streaming hours you will need.

Common Issues

I can't see the Billing and Usage page. Only the Owner and, in some cases, Admins can access billing information. If you need access, contact your Organisation Owner.

My usage looks higher than expected. Check whether test matches, duplicate Competitions, or old recordings are inflating your totals. Deleting unused items will reduce cumulative usage.

I've hit a limit mid-match. Contact LIGR support or your Owner to upgrade your plan. Live matches already in progress should not be interrupted, but new matches or streams may be blocked until the limit is resolved.

Usage hasn't reset at the start of my billing cycle. Billing period usage typically resets automatically. If your meters still show old figures after your cycle has rolled over, contact support.
