Managing Payment Methods

Managing payment methods in LIGR Live allows Owners to add, update, and remove the cards used to pay for their Organisation's subscription and usage charges.

Who Can Manage Payment Methods

Only users with the Owner role have access to billing settings, including payment methods. Admins, Users, and other roles cannot view or change this information.

If you are not the Owner and need to update a payment method, contact the Owner of your Organisation.

Accessing Payment Methods

To reach the payment methods area of your Profile:

1. Log in to LIGR Live as the Owner.

2. Click your profile icon in the top right of the screen.

3. Select Profile from the dropdown.

4. Open the Billing and Usage section.

5. Locate the Payment Methods area.

Follow these steps to add a new card to your Organisation:

2. Enter your card details, including:

• Card number

• Expiry date

• CVC

• Billing name

• Billing address

1. Click Save to store the payment method against your Organisation.

Your new card will then appear in the list of saved payment methods.

Setting a Default Payment Method

If you have more than one card saved, you can choose which one is used for future charges.

1. Find the card you want to use in the Payment Methods list.

2. Click Set as Default.

3. The selected card will be marked as the default and used for all upcoming subscription and usage charges.

Updating a Payment Method

If your card details change, for example a new expiry date or billing address:

1. Locate the card in the Payment Methods list.

2. Click Edit next to the card.

3. Update the relevant fields.

4. Click Save.

Removing a Payment Method

To remove a card you no longer wish to keep on file:

1. Find the card in the Payment Methods list.

2. Click Remove or the delete icon next to it.

3. Confirm the removal when prompted.

You cannot remove the default payment method if it is the only card on file. Add a new card first, set it as the default, and then remove the old one.

Tips

• Keep at least one valid payment method on file to avoid interruptions to your subscription or live broadcasts.

• Check the expiry date of your default card before major match days to prevent failed charges.

• If your Organisation is billed to a finance team, use a billing email address that routes to that team so invoices are not missed.

• Only the Owner can manage payment methods, so make sure ownership is held by someone who manages billing for your Organisation.

Common Issues

I can't see the Payment Methods section. You are likely signed in with an Admin, User, or other role. Only the Owner of the Organisation has access to billing. Ask your Owner to make the change or transfer ownership.

My card was declined. Check that the card details, expiry date, and billing address are correct. If the card is still declined, contact your card issuer or add a different payment method.

I need to change the Organisation Owner before updating billing. Ownership transfers must be performed by the current Owner. Once ownership has been transferred, the new Owner will have access to manage payment methods.

My payment method won't delete. You cannot delete a card that is currently set as the default if it is the only one on file. Add another card, set it as the default, then remove the old one.
