Connecting your YouTube account to LIGR Live lets you send live streams directly to YouTube as a Destination without manually copying stream keys for every match.
Overview
The Connections area in your Profile is where you link third-party services to LIGR Live. Once a YouTube account is connected, it becomes available as a Destination when you set up streaming for a Match, so your live video feed can be sent straight to YouTube Live.
You'll use YouTube Connections when you want to:
• Stream matches to a YouTube channel you own or manage
• Avoid pasting RTMP URLs and stream keys for each broadcast
• Manage multiple YouTube channels from a single LIGR Live Organisation

Prerequisites
Before connecting YouTube, make sure:
• You have Owner or Admin permissions on your LIGR Live Organisation
• You have login access to the YouTube/Google account you want to connect
• The YouTube channel is enabled for live streaming (this is done on YouTube's side and can take up to 24 hours when first activated)
Connecting a YouTube Account
1. Open your Profile and go to the Connections section.
2. Find the YouTube option and click Connect.
3. You will be redirected to Google's sign-in page. Log in with the account that owns or manages the YouTube channel.
4. Review the permissions requested by LIGR Live and approve access.
5. Once authorised, you'll be returned to the Connections page and the YouTube account will show as connected.

Using a Connected YouTube Account as a Destination
Once YouTube is connected, you can send a live stream to it from any Match:
1. Open the Match you want to stream.
2. Go to the stream setup area and add a new Destination.
3. Select your connected YouTube account from the list.
4. Choose or create the YouTube broadcast details (title, privacy, etc.) as prompted.
5. Save the Destination and start your stream when ready.
Managing Existing Connections
From the Connections page, you can:
• View which YouTube accounts are currently linked
• Disconnect an account you no longer use
• Reconnect an account if authorisation has expired
To disconnect, click the Disconnect option next to the YouTube account. This will stop it appearing as a Destination for new matches.

Tips
• Use a dedicated Google account for your broadcasting operation rather than a personal account, so access can be shared across your team safely.
• If your team uses multiple YouTube channels, connect each one separately so you can pick the correct Destination per Match.
• Re-authorise the connection if you change the Google account's password or security settings.
Common Issues
• YouTube account not appearing as a Destination: Confirm the connection is still active in the Connections page and that the channel is enabled for live streaming on YouTube.
• Authorisation expired: Disconnect the account and reconnect it to refresh permissions.
• Permission denied during sign-in: Make sure you're logging in with a Google account that has permission to manage the target YouTube channel.
• Live streaming not available on YouTube: New YouTube channels require up to 24 hours after enabling live streaming before they can broadcast.
