How to Sync Match Facts with the Control Room

Written by Julian Rodrigues

Syncing Match Facts between the LiveScore App and the Control Room ensures that events captured by your Live Scorer — such as goals, cards, and substitutions — are reflected in your live graphics in real time.

What Is Match Fact Syncing?

When a Live Scorer records events in the LiveScore App, those Match Facts are sent to LIGR Live and made available to the Control Room. This allows:

• Scorebugs to update automatically with the latest score and time

• Automated Game Plans to trigger Playlists and Graphics based on events

• Operators to focus on production while scoring happens separately

Both the LiveScore App and the Control Room must be connected to the same Match for syncing to work.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

• A Match created under a Competition, with both Teams assigned

• A user with the Live Scorer role (or higher) assigned to the Match

• A Gameday Operator or Admin with access to the Control Room

• The LiveScore App installed on a mobile device and logged in

• A stable internet connection on both the scoring device and the Control Room machine

Step 1: Open the Match in the LiveScore App

1. Log in to the LiveScore App using your LIGR credentials.

2. Select the correct Organisation if prompted.

3. Locate the Match in your list of upcoming fixtures.

4. Tap the Match to open the scoring interface.

Step 2: Open the Control Room for the Same Match

1. In the LIGR Live web app, navigate to the Match.

2. Open the Production Link to launch the Control Room.

3. Confirm that the Match details (Teams, Competition, kick-off time) match what is shown in the LiveScore App.

Step 3: Start the Match and Begin Scoring

1. In the LiveScore App, start the Match when play begins.

2. Record Match Facts as they happen — goals, cards, substitutions, and other events supported for the sport.

3. In the Control Room, watch the live data panel update as each Match Fact is received.

What Syncs Automatically

• Score updates

• Match clock and period changes

• Goal events (with scorer and assist where applicable)

• Cards and substitutions

• Any other Match Facts supported by the sport's Data Coverage level

Step 4: Confirm Graphics Are Triggering

If the Match is using an Automated Game Plan, Graphics and Playlists will fire based on Match Facts coming from the LiveScore App. In Manual Mode, the operator still triggers Graphics, but the Scorebug will reflect the latest Match Facts.

1. Check the Scorebug on the output preview to confirm the score and clock are correct.

2. Watch for event-driven Graphics (such as goal cards) appearing when Match Facts are recorded.

3. If something looks wrong, confirm both devices are on the same Match.

Tips

• Always test syncing with a quick goal event before the Match starts, then undo it, to confirm the connection works end-to-end.

• Keep the LiveScore App open and in the foreground during the Match to avoid the device backgrounding the connection.

• Assign the Live Scorer role to the person scoring — they do not need access to the Control Room.

• Use the Monitoring Link to let additional team members watch the graphics output without touching controls.

Common Issues

Match Facts Not Appearing in the Control Room

• Confirm the LiveScore App and Control Room are opened on the exact same Match.

• Check the internet connection on both devices.

• Refresh the Control Room page and re-open the Match in the LiveScore App.

Scorebug Not Updating

• Ensure the Match has been started in the LiveScore App, not just opened.

• Check that the Theme Instance assigned to the Competition includes a Scorebug.

• If using Manual Mode, confirm the Scorebug has been triggered in the Control Room.

Wrong Event Recorded

• In the LiveScore App, edit or delete the incorrect Match Fact from the event list.

• The Control Room and Scorebug will update to reflect the correction.

Live Scorer Cannot See the Match

• Confirm they are logged in to the correct Organisation.

• Check that they have been granted access to the Match or Competition.
