Scorebug automation in LIGR Live controls how the persistent on-screen score, time, and team information appears and updates during a match without requiring manual input from an operator.
What the Scorebug Does
The Scorebug is the small, persistent Graphic shown on top of your video feed throughout a Match. It displays key live information so viewers always know what's happening, even when no other Overlays are on screen.
A Scorebug typically shows:
• Team names or abbreviations
• Current score
• Match time or period
• Additional state information (e.g. half, quarter, possession) depending on the sport
Because the Scorebug is tied to your Theme Instance, its look and behaviour are defined before the match begins.

How Scorebug Automation Works
In the Control Room, the Scorebug is driven by two things:
• The Theme Instance assigned to the Competition, which defines how the Scorebug looks
• The Automated Game Plan, which defines when the Scorebug appears, hides, or updates
When a Match runs with an Automated Game Plan, the Scorebug responds to Match events automatically. You do not need to manually trigger it on and off for routine score or time changes.
Where Scorebug Data Comes From
Scorebug data is fed by Match Facts recorded either in the Control Room or through the LiveScore App. When a Live Scorer logs a goal, card, or period change, the Scorebug updates in real time on the output.

Controlling the Scorebug in the Control Room
Even with automation in place, Gameday Operators can still take control of the Scorebug when needed.
1. Open the Match using the Production Link to launch the Control Room.
2. Locate the Scorebug control in the Overlay section of the Control Room.
3. Use the on/off control to show or hide the Scorebug manually if required.
4. Confirm the Scorebug state on your Monitoring Link or program output.
Automated vs. Manual Scorebug Behaviour
• Automated Game Plan: The Scorebug appears at kickoff, updates with Match Facts, and hides during full-screen Graphics or at defined points (such as half time) based on Game Plan rules.
• Manual Mode: The operator is responsible for bringing the Scorebug on and off air, and for ensuring score updates are reflected correctly.
Tips
• Always check your Theme Instance before the Match to confirm the Scorebug looks correct for the Competition.
• Use the Monitoring Link on a second screen to watch the Scorebug output without risk of changing its state.
• If a Live Scorer is using the LiveScore App, make sure they are connected before kickoff so Match Facts flow into the Scorebug automatically.
• Review your Automated Game Plan rules so you know when the Scorebug is scheduled to hide, for example during lower thirds or full-screen Graphics.
Common Issues
• Scorebug not updating: Check that Match Facts are being recorded in the LiveScore App or Control Room, and that the scorer is connected to the correct Match.
• Scorebug not appearing at kickoff: Confirm the Match is running under an Automated Game Plan and that the Scorebug is included in the Game Plan rules. In Manual Mode, the operator must bring it on manually.
• Wrong team names, colours, or logos: These come from the Teams and Clubs assigned to the Match. Update the Asset details and refresh the Control Room.
• Scorebug looks incorrect: Review the Theme Instance assigned to the Competition, as this controls the Scorebug's visual design.
