Written by Julian Rodrigues

The Control Room is the live production interface in LIGR Live where Gameday Operators manage overlays, graphics, and playlists during a match.

This guide walks you through opening the Control Room, understanding its layout, and using it to run graphics during a live match.

Prerequisites

Before opening the Control Room, make sure you have:

• A Match created under a Competition

• A Theme Instance assigned to the Competition

• A Game Plan configured (either Automated or Manual Mode)

• Gameday Operator, User, Admin, or Owner permissions

• The Production Link for the match

Opening the Control Room

1. Log in to LIGR Live with your account.

2. Navigate to the match you want to operate.

3. Click the Production Link to open the Control Room in a new tab.

If you only need to monitor graphics output without triggering anything, use the Monitoring Link instead.

Control Room Layout

The Control Room is divided into several key areas that let you see match state, trigger graphics, and monitor output.

Graphics Panel

This is where you trigger individual Graphics such as Scorebugs, lower thirds, lineup cards, and full-screen overlays. Each Graphic from your Theme Instance appears as a tile you can click to take on or off air.

Playlists Panel

Playlists group Graphics into automated sequences. You can trigger a full Playlist with a single click, which is useful for pre-match lineups, half-time stats, or post-match wrap-ups.

Game Plan Section

If the match is running on an Automated Game Plan, this section shows which Playlists and Graphics are set to trigger based on Match Facts (like goals, cards, or period changes). You can see what will fire automatically and intervene if needed.

Preview and Output Monitor

A live preview of what is currently on air, so you can confirm graphics are displaying as expected before and after they trigger.

Running a Match in the Control Room

1. Check your setup before kick-off

1. Confirm both teams, players, and the Scorebug are pulling the correct data.

2. Review the Theme Instance to make sure colours, logos, and sponsor assets look right.

3. If using a Sponsor Loop or Ad Set, confirm it is allocated to the Competition or Team.

2. Start the pre-match sequence

1. Trigger your pre-match Playlist (for example, lineups and head-to-head stats).

2. If you are on an Automated Game Plan, the pre-game Playlist may fire automatically.

3. Bring the Scorebug on air

1. Click the Scorebug tile in the Graphics panel to take it on air.

2. The Scorebug will stay on air persistently and update automatically as Match Facts come in from the LiveScore App.

4. Trigger graphics during the match

• In Automated Game Plan mode, most Graphics and Playlists fire automatically from events recorded in the LiveScore App.

• In Manual Mode, you trigger every Graphic and Playlist by hand from the Graphics and Playlists panels.

5. Run the post-match sequence

1. Trigger your post-match Playlist, which may include final score, top performers, or sponsor wrap-ups.

2. Take the Scorebug off air when the match is complete.

Working With the LiveScore App

When a Live Scorer is capturing Match Facts in the LiveScore App, those events feed directly into the Control Room. This means:

• The Scorebug updates scores, time, and cards in real time

• Automated Game Plans trigger Graphics based on events like goals and substitutions

• You can focus on overseeing output rather than updating data manually

Tips

• Always open the Control Room a few minutes before kick-off to confirm graphics, data, and stream output are correct.

• Use the Monitoring Link on a second screen so you can watch the output feed without tying up the Control Room controls.

• Even on an Automated Game Plan, keep the Graphics panel visible so you can manually override or re-trigger a Graphic if needed.

• If you are new to a Competition, run through each Graphic and Playlist once before the match to familiarise yourself with the Theme Instance.

Common Issues

Graphics are not appearing on the stream Check that the Input from your encoder is connected and that the correct Destination is receiving output. Also confirm the Graphic has been taken on air in the Graphics panel.

Scorebug is not updating Make sure a Live Scorer is logged into the LiveScore App for this match and recording Match Facts. If events are not appearing, confirm the match is started in the app.

Automated Game Plan is not firing Graphics Open the Game Plan section and confirm the correct Automated Game Plan is assigned. Also check that the triggering Match Facts are being recorded by the Live Scorer.

Wrong Theme or Graphics showing Verify the Theme Instance assigned to the Competition is the one you expect. Changes to Theme Instances may require reloading the Control Room.
