Assigning a Live Scorer to a match in LIGR Live gives a specific user permission to record Match Facts such as goals, cards, and substitutions using the LiveScore App.

Overview

A Live Scorer is a user role with access limited to the LiveScore App. Before a scorer can capture events for a match, they need to exist as a user in your Organisation and be assigned to the specific match you want them to score.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure:

• You have Owner or Admin permissions in your Organisation

• The Competition and Match have already been created

• The person you want to assign has a valid email address

• The Live Scorer has downloaded the LiveScore App

Step 1: Add the Live Scorer as a User

If the person is not yet part of your Organisation, you need to invite them first.

1. Open your Organisation settings.

2. Go to the Users section.

3. Click Invite User (or the equivalent add user option).

4. Enter their email address.

5. Set their role to Live Scorer.

6. Send the invitation.

The user will receive an email invitation to join your Organisation with Live Scorer access.

Step 2: Open the Match

1. Navigate to the Competition that contains the match.

2. Open the list of matches within the Competition.

3. Click into the specific match you want to assign a scorer to.

Step 3: Assign the Live Scorer to the Match

Within the match settings, you can assign which Live Scorer is responsible for recording Match Facts during the fixture.

1. Locate the scorer assignment field in the match settings.

2. Select the Live Scorer from the dropdown of available users.

3. Save the match.

Step 4: Confirm Access in the LiveScore App

Ask the Live Scorer to:

1. Open the LiveScore App on their mobile device.

2. Log in using their LIGR Live credentials.

3. Confirm that the assigned match appears in their match list.

Once the match is visible, they can open it and begin recording Match Facts when the match starts.

Tips

• Assign the Live Scorer well before kickoff so they have time to log in and test access.

• A Live Scorer can be assigned to multiple matches across different Competitions.

• If you want someone to score but also manage overlays, consider a Gameday Operator role instead — Live Scorers only have access to the LiveScore App.

• Double-check the Data Coverage level on the Competition so the scorer knows which Match Facts they are expected to capture.
