Inviting a Live Scorer to a Match

Inviting a Live Scorer gives a trusted person access to the LiveScore App so they can record Match Facts like goals, cards, and substitutions during your match.

Why Invite a Live Scorer

A Live Scorer is a user with permission to capture live match events from the sideline using the LiveScore App on their mobile device. The Match Facts they record drive your Automated Game Plan, trigger graphics in the Control Room, and populate the Review Page and Match Centre after the match ends.

Without a Live Scorer assigned, match events must be entered manually by an operator, which limits automation.

Before You Start

Make sure the following are in place:

• The Match has been created under a Competition

• Both Teams are assigned to the Match

• The person you want to invite has a valid email address

• You have Owner, Admin, or Gameday Operator permissions in your Organisation

Step 3: The Scorer Accepts the Invite

The invited person will receive an email with a link to join. They will need to:

1. Create a LIGR Live account (or log in if they already have one)

2. Download the LiveScore App on their mobile device

3. Log in to the LiveScore App with the same credentials

4. Find the assigned match in their match list

Live Scorer Permissions

A user invited as a Live Scorer has access scoped specifically to scoring duties. They can:

• View matches they have been assigned to

• Record Match Facts in the LiveScore App (goals, cards, substitutions, and other events relevant to the sport)

• Start, pause, and end match periods

They cannot:

• Access the Control Room

• Create or edit Assets like Competitions, Teams, or Players

• Manage Themes, Overlays, or Game Plans

• View billing or Organisation settings

Tips

• Invite your Live Scorer well before match day so they have time to download and familiarise themselves with the LiveScore App

• Ask the scorer to open the assigned match in the app before kickoff to confirm access is working

• Check that the Data Coverage level set on the Competition matches what you expect the scorer to capture

• The same scorer can be assigned to multiple matches across different Competitions

Common Issues

The scorer cannot see the match in the LiveScore App

• Confirm they logged in with the same email address you sent the invite to

• Check that the match has been published and both Teams are assigned

• Ask them to pull down to refresh the match list

The invite email did not arrive

• Ask the scorer to check spam or junk folders

• Confirm you entered the correct email address on the match details page

• Re-send the invite if needed

The scorer cannot record certain events

• Review the Data Coverage level on the Competition — lower coverage levels limit which Match Facts are available

• Confirm the match period has been started in the app
