The LiveScore App lets you capture live Match Facts for cricket matches, feeding real-time data into LIGR Live so your overlays, scorebug, and Match Centre stay up to date throughout the innings.

Before You Start

Before you can score a cricket match in the LiveScore App, make sure the following are in place:

• The Match has been created under a Competition in LIGR Live

• Both Teams are assigned to the Match with their player lists set up

• You have been given the Live Scorer role (or higher) in the Organisation

• You have downloaded the LiveScore App and signed in with your LIGR credentials

Setting Up the Innings

Before the first ball, you will be prompted to confirm the starting details for the innings.

1. Select the batting Team and the bowling Team.

2. Choose the two opening batters from the team's player list.

3. Choose the opening bowler.

4. Confirm who is on strike.

Once confirmed, the scoring screen will open and you are ready to record Match Facts ball by ball.

Recording Match Facts Ball by Ball

Each ball is recorded as a Match Fact. Use the main scoring screen to log what happened.

Runs

1. Tap the number of runs scored from the bat (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 6).

2. The score, over count, and strike rotation will update automatically.

Extras

Tap the appropriate extra to record it:

Wide

No ball

Bye

Leg bye

If runs are scored in addition to the extra, enter the run value when prompted.

Wickets

1. Tap the Wicket button.

2. Select the dismissal type (bowled, caught, LBW, run out, stumped, etc.).

3. Select the dismissed batter if needed.

4. Select the new batter coming in.

5. Confirm who is on strike.

Boundaries

Boundaries are recorded automatically when you tap 4 or 6. These Match Facts can trigger boundary graphics via your Automated Game Plan.

Managing Overs and Bowlers

At the end of each over, the LiveScore App will prompt you to:

1. Confirm the over is complete.

2. Select the next bowler from the bowling Team.

3. Strike will rotate automatically.

Handling End of Innings

When an innings ends (all out, overs complete, or declared):

1. Tap the menu and select End Innings.

2. Confirm the final score.

3. Set up the second innings by selecting the new batting side, opening batters, and opening bowler.

Correcting Mistakes

If you tap the wrong button, use the Undo option to remove the last Match Fact. You can also edit earlier events from the Match timeline within the app.

Tips

• Keep your device plugged in or fully charged — scoring a full cricket match takes time.

• Use a stable internet connection. Match Facts sync to LIGR Live in real time, which drives your Scorebug and other graphics.

• Double-check the opening batters and bowler before the first ball to avoid timeline corrections later.

• Coordinate with the Gameday Operator in the Control Room so they know when big moments (wickets, boundaries, milestones) are coming.

• If your Match uses an Automated Game Plan, recorded Match Facts will trigger graphics automatically — so accuracy matters.

Common Issues

Match not appearing in the app Check that the Match has been created in LIGR Live, that it is scheduled for today, and that your account has Live Scorer access to the Organisation.

Match Facts not updating the Scorebug Confirm your device has internet connectivity. If a graphic does not play as expected, check with the operator that the Automated Game Plan includes triggers for that event type.

Wrong batter on strike Use the strike-swap option on the scoring screen to correct it before the next ball.

Accidentally ended the innings Contact your Admin or Gameday Operator — they can help correct the Match state from LIGR Live.
