Recording cards and fouls in the LiveScore App lets you capture disciplinary Match Facts in real time so they appear in your live graphics, Match Centre, and Review Page.
Before You Start
Make sure you have the following in place:
• A Match has been created in LIGR Live with both Teams assigned
• You have Live Scorer access to the Organisation
• You are signed in to the LiveScore App on your mobile device
• Players have been added to each Team's squad for the Match
Opening the Match in the LiveScore App

2. Locate the Match you want to score from the match list.
3. Tap the Match to open it.
4. Confirm the lineups are correct before the Match begins.

Recording a Card
Cards are recorded as Match Facts against a specific player on a specific team.
1. From the live scoring screen, select the Team the card is being issued to.
2. Tap the card event option (for example, yellow card or red card depending on the sport).
3. Choose the player receiving the card from the squad list.
4. Confirm the event to save it to the Match.
Once saved, the card appears in the Match Facts timeline and can trigger any associated graphics through your Automated Game Plan.

Second Yellow / Red Card
If a player receives a second yellow resulting in a red:
1. Record the second yellow card as normal against the same player.
2. Follow up by recording a red card if your sport's scoring flow requires it as a separate Match Fact.
Recording a Foul
Fouls are recorded as Match Facts and contribute to the Match's statistical data depending on your Data Coverage level.
1. On the live scoring screen, select the Team that committed the foul.
2. Tap the foul event option.
3. If prompted, select the player who committed the foul.
4. Confirm the event to log it.

Editing or Deleting a Card or Foul
If you record the wrong event or assign it to the wrong player:
1. Open the Match Facts timeline within the Match.
2. Find the card or foul entry you want to change.
3. Tap the entry to edit the player or details, or delete it entirely.
4. Save your changes.
Edits sync to the Control Room and any live graphics driven by the Match Fact.
Tips
• Double-check the player selection before confirming — card Match Facts often trigger lower thirds or scorebug updates instantly.
• If the Match is running on an Automated Game Plan, cards can automatically trigger player card graphics, so accuracy matters.
• Keep the LiveScore App in the foreground during play to avoid delays in syncing Match Facts.
• For higher Data Coverage levels, record fouls consistently so stats remain accurate on the Match Centre and Review Page.
Common Issues
• Card or foul not appearing in graphics: Check that the Match is live and that your Automated Game Plan or Control Room has a graphic or Playlist linked to that Match Fact type.
• Wrong player showing in the graphic: Edit the Match Fact in the LiveScore App to reassign it to the correct player — the graphic will update.
• Event option missing: Some sports only expose certain card or foul types. Confirm the sport configured on the Competition supports the event you're trying to record.
• Sync delay: Ensure your device has a stable internet connection. The LiveScore App needs connectivity to push Match Facts to LIGR.
