Production Link vs Monitoring Link

Written by Julian Rodrigues

LIGR Live provides two distinct links for every match — a Production Link that opens the Control Room with full operator access, and a Monitoring Link that displays the graphics output in view-only mode.

Understanding the difference between these two links helps you share match access safely with the right people on your team.

What Each Link Does

Both links are generated automatically when you create a Match, but they serve very different purposes.

Production Link

The Production Link opens the Control Room for a specific match. Anyone with this link (and the right permissions) can:

• Trigger Overlays and Playlists manually

• Adjust the Scorebug and other live Graphics

• Switch between Manual Mode and an Automated Game Plan

• Control Variables via FUSE-based Graphics

• Manage what viewers see on the live stream

This link should only be shared with trusted operators such as Owners, Admins, Users, or Gameday Operators.

Monitoring Link

The Monitoring Link is a view-only URL that shows the graphics output of the match without giving any control. Anyone with this link can:

• Watch the live Overlays as they appear on the stream

• Confirm Graphics are triggering correctly

• Monitor the Scorebug and Playlists in real time

They cannot trigger, edit, or change anything. This makes the Monitoring Link safe to share with producers, directors, clients, or sponsors who need to see what is happening without risk of accidental changes.

When to Use Each Link

Use the Production Link when:

• You are the Gameday Operator running the match

• You need to trigger Graphics manually in the Control Room

• You are setting up or testing an Automated Game Plan before kick-off

• You are handing over operator duties to another trusted team member

Use the Monitoring Link when:

• A producer or director needs to see the graphics output

• A client or sponsor wants to watch the broadcast feed with Overlays

• You want to check the output from a second device without taking over control

• You are monitoring multiple matches at once alongside the Multiview

How to Access Each Link

1. Open your Organisation and navigate to the match you want to run.

2. On the match page, locate the action buttons for the match.

3. Click Production Link to open the Control Room in a new tab.

4. Click Monitoring Link (or copy it) to share view-only access with others.

Tips

• Bookmark the Production Link for any match you are operating, so you can return to the Control Room quickly.

• Copy the Monitoring Link and share it ahead of kick-off with anyone who needs to watch the broadcast output.

• If you are running multiple matches across a single day, open each Production Link in its own browser tab to avoid confusion.

• Use the Monitoring Link on a second screen to see exactly what your viewers see while you operate from the Production Link.

Common Issues

The Monitoring Link looks blank or delayed The Monitoring Link reflects the live graphics output, so if no Graphics have been triggered yet, it will look empty. Trigger a test Overlay from the Control Room to confirm it is working.

Someone with the Production Link is changing Graphics unexpectedly Only share the Production Link with trusted operators. If the wrong person has it, review your user permissions and limit access to Gameday Operators or higher roles.

The Production Link won't open the Control Room Make sure your user account has the correct role assigned (Owner, Admin, User, or Gameday Operator). A Live Scorer or Media Viewer will not have Control Room access.

I shared the wrong link with a client If you accidentally shared the Production Link instead of the Monitoring Link, ask them not to use it and send the correct Monitoring Link. Consider reviewing who has Control Room access through your Organisation settings.
