Generating the Production Link and Monitoring Link

Written by Julian Rodrigues
Updated today

The Production Link and Monitoring Link give you and your team access to a match's Control Room and its live graphics output, each serving a different purpose during a broadcast.

What These Links Do

Every match in LIGR Live has two key links generated once the match is created:

Production Link — Opens the Control Room for that match. This is where operators trigger overlays, manage graphics, and run the broadcast.

Monitoring Link — Opens a view-only version of the graphics output. This is used for monitoring what graphics are being displayed without the ability to control them.

Use the Production Link for anyone operating the match, and the Monitoring Link for anyone who needs to see the output without making changes.

Prerequisites

Before you can generate these links, make sure you have:

• Created a Competition with an assigned Theme Instance

• Created the Match under that Competition

• Assigned both teams and a venue to the match

Generating the Production Link

The Production Link is the URL that opens the Control Room for a specific match.

1. Go to the Matches tab in your Organisation.

2. Locate the match you want to produce and click into it to open the match details page.

3. Look for the Production Link option on the match page.

4. Click to copy the link, or click through to open the Control Room directly.

5. Share this link with your Gameday Operators who will be running the match.

Who Should Use the Production Link

• Gameday Operators running the Control Room

• Admins or Users overseeing the live broadcast

• Anyone triggering overlays, playlists, or manual graphics during the match

Generating the Monitoring Link

The Monitoring Link lets others watch the live graphics output without the risk of them accidentally triggering anything.

1. Open the same match from the Matches tab.

2. On the match details page, find the Monitoring Link option.

3. Copy the link and share it with anyone who needs view-only access.

Who Should Use the Monitoring Link

• Clients or stakeholders watching the output remotely

• Team members who need visibility without control

Tips

• Always test the Production Link before match day to confirm the Control Room loads correctly with the assigned Theme Instance.

• Send the Monitoring Link to anyone who has asked for "access to the broadcast" but does not need to control graphics — this avoids accidental triggers.

• Bookmark both links on match day so you can quickly reopen them if a browser tab is closed.

• Use a Gameday Operator role for staff who only need Control Room access for specific matches.
