Understanding the Production Link and Monitoring Link

The Production Link and Monitoring Link are two match-specific URLs in LIGR Live that give different levels of access to a match's graphics output — one for controlling overlays, and one for watching them without making changes.

What Each Link Does

Every match in LIGR Live generates its own set of links once the match has been created. These links are the main way operators and other team members access a match during a broadcast.

Production Link

The Production Link opens the Control Room for a specific match. This is the live production interface where Gameday Operators trigger and manage overlays during the broadcast.

With the Production Link you can:

• Trigger graphics manually (scorebugs, lower thirds, full-screen graphics)

• Run or override Automated Game Plans

• Control Playlists and Sponsor Loops

• Adjust Control Variables on FUSE graphics in real time

• Start and stop the Scorebug

Anyone using the Production Link has full control over what goes to air for that match.

Monitoring Link

The Monitoring Link opens a view-only version of the graphics output. It shows exactly what the overlays look like as they play out, but it does not expose any controls.

With the Monitoring Link you can:

• Watch the live graphics output

• Confirm overlays are triggering as expected

• Share the view with stakeholders who do not need control access

The Monitoring Link is safe to share widely — clicking on it cannot affect the live broadcast.

When to Use Each Link

Use the Production Link when:

• You are the Gameday Operator running the match

• You need to trigger or override graphics manually

• You are testing overlays before the match goes live

Use the Monitoring Link when:

• You want to check graphics output without risking accidental triggers

• You need to share the output with a producer, coach, or client

• You are monitoring multiple matches and only need to watch, not control

How to Access the Links

1. Go to the Matches tab in the left sidebar.

2. Open the match you want to access.

3. Locate the match links in the match settings area.

4. Copy either the Production Link or the Monitoring Link depending on what you need.

5. Paste the link into your browser, or share it with the appropriate team member.

Tips

• Only share the Production Link with users who should be able to control the overlays. Anyone with the link can trigger graphics.

• Use the Monitoring Link on a second screen during a match so you can see the on-air output while you work in the Control Room.

• Bookmark the Production Link for matches you run regularly to save time on match day.

• Pair the Monitoring Link with Multiview if you need to watch several matches at once.

Common Issues

The Production Link opens but the Control Room is empty or missing graphics. Check that the match has a Theme Instance assigned and that teams, players, and a competition are linked correctly in the match settings.

The Monitoring Link shows a blank screen. Graphics only appear on the Monitoring Link when they are triggered from the Control Room. If no overlays are currently active, the view will be empty — this is expected.

A user cannot open the Production Link. Make sure they have the correct permission level. Gameday Operators, Users, Admins, and Owners can access the Control Room. Live Scorers and Media Viewers cannot.

Graphics on the Monitoring Link look delayed compared to the Control Room. A small delay is normal due to the browser rendering the output separately. For precise timing, always rely on the Control Room.
