Swapping team sides changes which team appears on the left and which appears on the right of the Scorebug during a live Match, so the on-screen layout matches the physical side each team is playing on after a period change or kick-off swap.
When You Might Need to Swap Sides
In most sports, teams change ends between periods, halves, or quarters. To keep your Scorebug aligned with what viewers see on the video feed, you can swap the home and away team positions directly from the Control Room without editing the Match itself.
Common scenarios include:
• Teams switching ends at half-time
• A broadcaster wanting the attacking team on a specific side
• Correcting the initial side assignment before kick-off
• Quarter or period changes in sports like basketball, AFL, or rugby
Prerequisites
Before you swap team sides, make sure:
• You have access to the Match in the Control Room via the Production Link
• You are signed in as a user with Control Room access (Owner, Admin, User, or Gameday Operator)
• The Match has been created with both teams assigned
• The Scorebug Overlay is available in the Match's Theme Instance
How to Swap Team Sides in the Control Room
1. Open the Match's Production Link to launch the Control Room.
2. Locate the Scorebug controls in the Control Room interface.
3. Find the swap sides option associated with the Scorebug or team display.
4. Select it to instantly switch the home and away teams' positions on the Scorebug.
5. Confirm the change is reflected in your Monitoring Link or output preview before it goes live.

Checking the Output
After swapping, verify the change by:
• Viewing the live Scorebug in your Monitoring Link
• Checking the stream output in your encoder or destination preview
• Confirming that team logos, colours, and scores have moved to the correct side

Tips
• Swap sides before the next period starts to avoid a mid-action change that could confuse viewers.
• The score, team logos, and any linked Graphics tied to home/away data will update automatically when you swap.
• If you are running an Automated Game Plan, swapping sides only affects the Scorebug display, not the underlying home/away assignment of the Match.
• Communicate with your Live Scorer so they know the visual swap has happened — match events in the LiveScore App are still tied to the original team records, not their screen position.
Common Issues
The Scorebug doesn't visually swap after I click the option. Refresh the Control Room tab and check that your Monitoring Link is showing the latest output. If the Scorebug is not currently on-air, the swap will only be visible the next time it's triggered.
Team colours or logos look wrong after swapping. The swap only changes position, not the team data. If colours or logos are incorrect, check the Team assets under your Competition and confirm the correct home and away assignments on the Match.
Other Graphics (like lower thirds) didn't swap. Swapping sides on the Scorebug only affects the Scorebug. Other Overlays in your Theme Instance may have their own home/away logic driven by the Match data.
I can't find the swap option. The availability of the swap control can depend on the Scorebug design in your Theme Instance. If you don't see it, contact your Admin or LIGR support to confirm whether your current Theme supports this control.
