A Scorebug is a small persistent Graphic in LIGR Live that displays the live score, match time, and team information on top of your video stream throughout a Match.
Overview
The Scorebug is one of the most important Overlays in any live sports broadcast. Unlike other Graphics that appear briefly and disappear (such as lower thirds or lineup cards), the Scorebug is designed to stay on screen for extended periods so viewers always know the current state of the Match.
In LIGR Live, the Scorebug is controlled from the Control Room and updates automatically based on Match Facts recorded in the LiveScore App or entered manually by an operator.

What a Scorebug Typically Displays
A Scorebug usually includes the following elements, depending on the sport and the Theme applied:
• Team names or abbreviations
• Team logos or colours
• Current score for each team
• Match clock or period time
• Current period, half, quarter, or innings
• Additional state indicators (for example, possession or power play markers)
The exact layout and styling of your Scorebug is determined by the Theme Instance assigned to your Competition.
How the Scorebug Works in LIGR Live
Driven by Match Data
The Scorebug reads live data from the Match. When a goal, point, or score change is recorded, either via the LiveScore App or manually, the Scorebug updates in real time.
Controlled from the Control Room
Operators can show or hide the Scorebug from the Control Room during a Match. In an Automated Game Plan, the Scorebug can be configured to appear and disappear automatically based on Match events such as kick-off, half-time, or full-time.

Styled by the Theme
The visual design of the Scorebug, including colours, fonts, shapes, and animations, comes from the Theme applied to the Competition. Custom Scorebugs can be built or modified in FUSE, LIGR's advanced Graphics editor, using Control Variables for elements that need to be adjusted in real time.
Showing or Hiding the Scorebug
1. Open the Control Room for your Match using the Production Link.
2. Locate the Scorebug in the Graphics list.
3. Click the Scorebug to toggle it on or off the live output.
4. If you are running an Automated Game Plan, the Scorebug will be triggered according to the rules defined in your Game Plan.
Tips
• Always confirm your Scorebug is displaying correctly using a Monitoring Link before going live.
• If you need a different Scorebug look for a specific Competition, configure a separate Theme Instance rather than editing the base Theme.
• Use Manual Mode if you want full control over when the Scorebug appears and disappears.
• Check that team names, logos, and colours are set correctly on your Clubs and Teams Assets before the Match starts, as these feed directly into the Scorebug.
Common Issues
Scorebug is not updating the score
Confirm that Match Facts are being recorded in the LiveScore App and that the scorer is connected to the correct Match.
Scorebug shows the wrong team colours or logos
Check the Club and Team Assets for the correct logos and colours. Also confirm the correct Theme Instance is applied to the Competition.
Scorebug will not appear on the stream
Make sure the Scorebug is toggled on in the Control Room, and that your Input and Destination are configured and running correctly.
Scorebug clock is out of sync
Ensure the Match clock has been started in the Control Room or LiveScore App, and that the correct period is selected.
