Switching between Manual Mode and an Automated Game Plan lets you choose whether graphics are triggered by match events automatically or controlled by hand from the Control Room during a match.
What Each Mode Does
Before switching modes, it helps to understand what each option controls in the Control Room.
Automated Game Plan
An Automated Game Plan runs a pre-defined set of rules that trigger graphics and playlists based on match events such as goals, period changes, or pre-game and post-game moments. The operator monitors the output but does not need to trigger each graphic manually.
Manual Mode
Manual Mode turns off automatic triggering. Every overlay, scorebug, playlist, and graphic is fired by the operator from the Control Room. This gives full control over timing and which graphics appear on the stream.
When to Use Each Mode
• Automated Game Plan — Best for standard matches where the Game Plan has been configured ahead of time and you want consistent, hands-off graphics delivery.
• Manual Mode — Best for matches where you need full creative control, are running a non-standard format, or are handling unusual match events that the Game Plan doesn't cover.

Switching to an Automated Game Plan
Follow these steps to hand control back to the Automated Game Plan.
1. In the Control Room, open the Game Plan or mode control.
2. Select the Automated Game Plan assigned to the match.
3. Confirm the switch.
4. Check that match events from the LiveScore App or Match Facts are triggering the expected graphics.
Switching Mid-Match
You can switch between Manual Mode and an Automated Game Plan during a live match if needed.
1. Decide which graphics are currently on screen and whether they need to be cleared first.
2. Switch modes from the Control Room.
3. Resume operating in the new mode.
Be aware that switching mid-match may cause a brief moment where a graphic needs to be manually cleared or re-triggered.
Tips
• Test both modes in a rehearsal match before a live broadcast so you know how each behaves.
• Even when using an Automated Game Plan, keep the Control Room visible so you can override a graphic manually if needed.
• If your match has unusual events that aren't covered by the Game Plan, start in Automated mode and switch to Manual Mode only for those moments.
• Use the Monitoring Link on a second screen to watch the output while you operate.
Common Issues
Graphics aren't triggering automatically after switching to Automated Game Plan Check that an Automated Game Plan is actually assigned to the match or Competition, and that the LiveScore App is connected and sending Match Facts.
Graphics are double-firing after switching modes This can happen if a graphic was manually triggered just before the switch. Clear active overlays in the Control Room before changing modes.
Mode option is greyed out Your user role may not have permission to change modes. Contact your Owner or Admin to check your access level.
Scorebug disappears after switching to Manual Mode The Scorebug will need to be triggered manually in Manual Mode. Find it in the Control Room graphics panel and fire it.
