Switching between Manual and Auto Mode in the Control Room controls whether graphics are triggered automatically by an Automated Game Plan or manually by an operator during a match.
Understanding Manual and Auto Mode
Before switching modes, it helps to know what each one does.
Auto Mode
In Auto Mode, the Control Room follows the Automated Game Plan assigned to the match. Graphics and Playlists play based on match events and timing rules without operator input.
Use Auto Mode when:
• You have a fully configured Automated Game Plan
• Match Facts are being captured in the LiveScore App
• You want a hands-off production with minimal operator involvement
Manual Mode
In Manual Mode, all graphics are triggered by the operator from the Control Room. The Automated Game Plan does not fire graphics on its own.
Use Manual Mode when:
• You want full operator control over every Overlay
• You are running a match without a Live Scorer
• You need to override or customise the flow of graphics during the match

Prerequisites
Before switching modes, make sure you have:
• A Match created under a Competition
• A Theme Instance assigned to the Match
• Access to the Production Link for the Match
• The appropriate role (Owner, Admin, User, or Gameday Operator)
How to Switch Modes in the Control Room
1. Open the Production Link for your Match to load the Control Room.
2. Locate the mode toggle at the top of the Control Room interface.
3. Click the toggle to switch between Manual and Auto.

Switching Modes Mid-Match
You can switch modes at any point during a Match.
1. In the Control Room, click the mode toggle.
2. The change takes effect immediately.
3. Any graphics currently on-screen will remain until you clear them or the next event triggers.
What Happens to Active Graphics
• Graphics already on-screen are not removed when you switch modes
• Scheduled Playlists from the Automated Game Plan will stop firing if you switch to Manual
• Switching back to Auto will resume the Automated Game Plan from the current match state
Tips
• Test both modes in a rehearsal Match before your first live production
• Use Manual Mode as a fallback if Match Facts are not being recorded correctly in the LiveScore App
• Keep the Monitoring Link open on a second screen to see exactly what is being output while you switch modes
• If your Automated Game Plan is not behaving as expected, switching briefly to Manual Mode lets you take control without losing the stream
Common Issues
The toggle is greyed out or missing Check that you have the correct role for the Match. Live Scorers and Media Viewers cannot change modes.
Graphics keep firing after switching to Manual A Playlist may already be in progress. Clear the active Overlay from the Control Room to stop it.
Auto Mode is not triggering graphics Confirm that an Automated Game Plan is assigned to the Match and that Match Facts are being received from the LiveScore App.
Scorebug disappears after switching modes The Scorebug may need to be re-triggered manually in Manual Mode. Use the Control Room panel to bring it back on-screen.
