Manual Mode lets you take full control of a match broadcast by triggering every graphic yourself from the Control Room, rather than relying on an Automated Game Plan to play graphics based on match events.
What Manual Mode Does
When a match runs in Manual Mode, no graphics or playlists play automatically. You decide exactly when a Scorebug appears, when a lower third shows, and when any other overlay is triggered. This is useful when:
• You want complete creative control over the broadcast
• The match is not being scored live in the LiveScore App
• You are running a custom production that does not fit a standard Automated Game Plan
• You need to override or replace automated behaviour for a specific match

Prerequisites
Before using Manual Mode, make sure you have:
• A Competition with a Theme Instance assigned
• A Match created under that Competition
• The two Teams assigned to the Match
• Access to the Control Room via the Production Link
• Appropriate permissions (Owner, Admin, User, or Gameday Operator)
Switching a Match to Manual Mode
1. Open the Match from your Matches list.
2. Go to the Match settings and locate the Game Plan option.
3. Set the Match to Manual Mode instead of an Automated Game Plan.
4. Save your changes.

Triggering Graphics Manually
Once in the Control Room, all available graphics are listed in the graphics panel.
1. Locate the graphic you want to show, for example the Scorebug, a lineup card, or a lower third.
2. Click the graphic to trigger it on the output.
3. To hide the graphic, click it again or use the hide control.
4. Repeat this process for each graphic throughout the Match.

Using the Scorebug in Manual Mode
The Scorebug is usually the most-used graphic in any broadcast.
1. Trigger the Scorebug when the Match starts.
2. Update the score, time, or team information directly in the Control Room as the Match progresses.
3. Hide the Scorebug during full-screen graphics or replays if needed.
4. Re-trigger it when live action resumes.
Playing Playlists Manually
You can still trigger Playlists manually in Manual Mode.
1. Open the Playlists section within the Control Room.
2. Click the Playlist you want to run.
3. The graphics inside the Playlist will play in sequence.
Tips
• Keep the Scorebug visible for most of the Match so viewers always see the score and time.
• Pre-load lineup and team graphics before kickoff so you can trigger them quickly.
• Use the Monitoring Link on a second screen to preview the output while you operate the Control Room.
• If you have sponsor graphics, build them into a Sponsor Loop so you can trigger a block of ads with one click.
• Practice the graphics order before going live, especially for pre-match and half-time sequences.
Common Issues
Graphics are playing automatically when I do not want them to Check that the Match is set to Manual Mode and not to an Automated Game Plan. Automated triggers will override manual intent if a Game Plan is still assigned.
The Scorebug does not show the correct score In Manual Mode, scores are not updated by the LiveScore App unless a Live Scorer is connected. You may need to update the score manually in the Control Room.
A graphic is missing from the Control Room Confirm the graphic exists in the Theme Instance assigned to the Competition. If it is not in the Theme Instance, it will not appear in the Control Room.
Graphics look wrong or use placeholder data Check that both Teams, Players, and Venue are correctly assigned to the Match before opening the Control Room.
