Stream quality settings in LIGR Live control how your live video feed is received from your encoder and sent out to your chosen destinations, ensuring a stable and reliable broadcast.
Overview
When you set up a stream in LIGR Live, the quality of your broadcast depends on two main factors:
• The Input you send from your encoder (such as OBS, vMix, or a hardware encoder) into LIGR
• The Destination settings where LIGR sends the stream out (such as YouTube Live, Facebook Live, or an RTMP endpoint)
This article walks you through where to find and adjust these settings for a match.
Prerequisites
Before configuring stream quality, make sure you have:
• An active Match created under a Competition
• An encoder ready to send video to LIGR via RTMP or NDI
• Access to your Destination accounts (such as YouTube or Facebook) or an RTMP endpoint URL
• Permission level of Admin, Owner, or Gameday Operator
Accessing Stream Settings for a Match
1. Click the Matches tab in the left sidebar.
2. Select the match you want to configure.
3. Open the Stream View page for that match.
4. Locate the stream settings panel, where you will find your Input and Destination configuration.

Configuring the Input
The Input is the video source coming into LIGR from your encoder.
RTMP Inputs
1. In the Stream View, copy the RTMP server URL and stream key provided by LIGR.
2. Paste these into your encoder's streaming settings.
3. Match your encoder's output resolution and bitrate to what your upload connection can reliably support.
4. Start streaming from your encoder and confirm the Input is received in LIGR.
NDI Inputs
1. Ensure your encoder and LIGR are on the same network, or that NDI is routed correctly.
2. Select the NDI source in your LIGR Input configuration.
3. Confirm the feed is being received before going live.

Configuring Destinations
Destinations are where LIGR sends your finished broadcast with overlays applied.
1. In the Stream View, open the Destinations section.
2. Add a new Destination by selecting the platform (YouTube Live, Facebook Live, or a custom RTMP endpoint).
3. Enter the required details, such as the RTMP URL and stream key from your chosen platform.
4. Save the Destination.
5. Repeat to add multiple Destinations if you are broadcasting to more than one platform.

Monitoring Stream Health
Once your stream is live, use the Streaming tab to check your stream is running correctly.
• Open the Streaming tab in the left sidebar.
• Use Multiview to monitor multiple streams at once.
• Check the visual feed and status indicators for each stream.
Tips
• Always test your Input and Destination configuration before match day with a short test stream.
• Use a wired internet connection on your encoder machine whenever possible to improve stability.
• If you are streaming to multiple Destinations, confirm each one is receiving the feed before kickoff.
• Keep your encoder's output settings consistent across matches to avoid surprises mid-broadcast.
Common Issues
• No Input received in LIGR: Double-check the RTMP server URL and stream key in your encoder. For NDI, confirm network routing and that the source is visible.
• Destination not going live: Confirm the stream key from YouTube, Facebook, or your custom RTMP endpoint is current and copied correctly.
• Stream drops or buffers: Lower your encoder's output bitrate, check your upload bandwidth, and switch to a wired connection if possible.
• Overlays not appearing on the Destination feed: Make sure you are sending the LIGR output (with graphics applied) to the Destination, not your raw encoder feed.
