Configuring Stream Inputs in LIGR Live tells the platform where your live video is coming from, so it can be combined with your overlays and sent out to your streaming Destinations.
What Is an Input?
An Input is a video source connected to LIGR, typically from an encoder like OBS, vMix, or a hardware encoder. Before you can go live with graphics and push your broadcast to destinations like YouTube Live or Facebook Live, you need to set up an Input for your match.
Prerequisites
Before configuring a Stream Input, make sure you have:
• Created a Competition and two Teams in the Assets tab
• Created a Match under your Competition
• An encoder ready to send video (OBS, vMix, or a hardware encoder)
• A stable internet connection on the encoder machine
Accessing Stream Settings for a Match
1. Click the Matches tab in the left sidebar.
2. Select the match you want to configure.
3. Open the Stream View page for that match.
4. Locate the Stream Settings or Inputs area.

Configuring an RTMP Input
RTMP is the most common way to send video from an encoder into LIGR.
1. On the Stream View page, find the Input details for your match.
2. Copy the RTMP Server URL provided by LIGR.
3. Copy the Stream Key for this match.
4. Open your encoder (OBS, vMix, or hardware encoder).
5. In your encoder's streaming settings, paste the Server URL and Stream Key into the relevant fields.
6. Start streaming from your encoder.
7. Return to LIGR and confirm the Input shows as active in the Stream View.

Configuring an NDI Input
NDI is used to send video over a local network, often when running LIGR graphics alongside production software like vMix.
1. Ensure your encoder and the machine running LIGR are on the same local network.
2. In your encoder, enable NDI output for the source you want to send.
3. In the LIGR Input settings, select the NDI source from the list of available feeds.
4. Confirm the Input is receiving video.
Verifying Your Input
Once your Input is connected:
• Check the Stream View page to confirm the feed is live.
• Use the Multiview feature on the Streaming tab to monitor the Input alongside other active streams.
• Confirm bitrate and stream health look stable before going live.

Tips
• Always test your Input before your scheduled match start time.
• Keep your Stream Key private — anyone with it can send video to your match.
• For RTMP, use a wired internet connection on your encoder where possible.
• For NDI, make sure no firewalls are blocking traffic between machines on your network.
• If you change encoders mid-match, you will need to reconnect using the same Server URL and Stream Key.
Common Issues
Input not showing as active
• Double-check the RTMP Server URL and Stream Key are copied exactly.
• Confirm your encoder is actually streaming (not just previewing).
• Check your internet connection on the encoder machine.
NDI source not appearing in LIGR
• Confirm both machines are on the same local network.
• Restart NDI output on the encoder.
• Check firewall settings are not blocking NDI traffic.
Stream looks unstable or drops frames
• Lower the bitrate in your encoder settings.
• Switch from Wi-Fi to a wired connection.
• Close other bandwidth-heavy applications on the encoder machine.
Input works but graphics aren't appearing
• Confirm the match has a Theme Instance assigned.
• Check the Control Room to ensure overlays are being triggered.
