Managing Multiple Destinations for a Match

Written by Julian Rodrigues
Updated today

Destinations in LIGR Live let you send a single Match Stream out to multiple platforms at once, such as YouTube Live, Facebook Live, or any custom RTMP endpoint.

What Are Destinations?

A Destination is any platform or endpoint that receives your Stream from LIGR. By adding multiple Destinations to the same Match, you can broadcast to several places simultaneously without needing to run separate encoders.

Common Destinations include:

• YouTube Live

• Facebook Live

• Custom RTMP endpoints (such as a club website, LinkedIn, or a third-party platform)

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

• A Match created under a Competition

• An Input configured and connected (for example from OBS, vMix, or a hardware encoder)

• The Stream Key and RTMP URL for each Destination you want to send to

Adding Multiple Destinations to a Match

1. Open the Matches tab in the left sidebar.

2. Select the Match you want to configure.

3. Go to the Streaming section for that Match.

4. Locate the Destinations area.

5. Click to add a new Destination.

6. Choose the Destination type (YouTube, Facebook, or Custom RTMP).

7. Enter the required details, such as the RTMP URL and Stream Key.

8. Save the Destination.

9. Repeat the steps above to add further Destinations to the same Match.

Managing Active Destinations

Once Destinations are added, you can:

• Enable or disable individual Destinations before going live

• Remove a Destination that is no longer needed

• Add new Destinations even while the Match is being prepared

Each Destination runs independently, so disabling one does not affect the others.

Monitoring Multiple Destinations

Use the Multiview feature to monitor all active Streams and Destinations at the same time. This helps you confirm that each platform is receiving the feed correctly.

Tips

• Double-check each Stream Key before going live. A single wrong character will stop that Destination from receiving the Stream.

• Test each Destination with a short preview Stream before the Match starts.

• Keep a written list of which Destinations are active for each Match, especially when broadcasting to sponsor or partner platforms.

• If a Destination is only needed occasionally, you can disable it rather than delete it, so the details are saved for next time.

Common Issues

One Destination is not receiving the Stream Check that the RTMP URL and Stream Key are correct for that specific platform. Keys often expire or change between broadcasts on YouTube and Facebook.

All Destinations fail at once This usually points to an Input issue rather than a Destination issue. Check that your encoder is connected and sending a healthy Stream to LIGR.

Stream works on one platform but lags on another Each Destination depends on its own platform's ingest. Lag on one service is usually outside of LIGR and should be checked on that platform's dashboard.

Destination disconnects mid-Match Re-enable the Destination from the Streaming section. If the issue continues, generate a fresh Stream Key on the receiving platform and update the Destination in LIGR.
