How to Delete or Archive a Match

Deleting or archiving a Match in LIGR Live lets you remove old, cancelled, or test fixtures from your active Matches list so your organisation stays organised.

Overview

Over time your Matches list can fill up with completed fixtures, test matches, or events that were created by mistake. LIGR Live gives you options to either archive a Match (hide it from your main view while keeping its data) or delete it (remove it permanently).

Before you remove any Match, it's worth understanding the difference so you choose the right option for your situation.

Archive vs Delete: What's the Difference

Archive — Moves the Match out of your active list but keeps the record, including match events, recordings, and related media. Use this for completed Matches you want to keep for reference but no longer need cluttering your main view.

Delete — Permanently removes the Match and its associated settings from your organisation. Use this for test Matches or fixtures created in error.

Deleting is not reversible, so archiving is usually the safer choice when you're unsure.

Before You Start

Make sure you have the right permissions:

Owner or Admin roles can delete or archive any Match

Gameday Operators typically have limited access and may not be able to delete Matches

• Check with your Owner if you're unsure about your access level

You should also confirm that the Match is not currently live or streaming before removing it.

How to Archive a Match

1. Click the Matches tab in the left sidebar.

2. Find the Match you want to archive in the Matches list.

3. Open the Match to access its settings.

4. Look for the archive option in the Match settings menu.

5. Confirm the action when prompted.

Once archived, the Match will no longer appear in your default Matches view. You can usually filter or toggle to view archived Matches if you need to find it again later.

How to Delete a Match

1. Go to the Matches tab in the left sidebar.

2. Locate the Match you want to delete.

3. Open the Match settings.

4. Select the delete option.

5. Read the confirmation prompt carefully — deletion is permanent.

6. Confirm to remove the Match from your organisation.

What Gets Removed When You Delete a Match

When you delete a Match, the following is affected:

• The Match fixture itself and its settings

• Match Facts recorded through the LiveScore App for that Match

• Overlay configurations tied specifically to that Match

• The Production Link and Monitoring Link for that Match

Competitions, Teams, Clubs, Players, and Venues linked to the Match are not deleted — they remain available as Assets for future Matches.

Tips

Archive by default. If you're not 100% sure you need to delete a Match, archive it instead. You can always delete it later.

Clean up regularly. Archiving completed Matches at the end of each season keeps your Matches tab fast and easy to navigate.

Check recordings first. If the Match has recordings, Highlights, or Moments you want to keep, download or export them before deleting.

Don't delete live Matches. Always stop any active Stream and confirm the Match has ended before removing it.

Common Issues

I can't see a delete or archive option. Your user role may not have the required permissions. Ask an Owner or Admin to perform the action, or to upgrade your role.

I deleted a Match by mistake. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone from within LIGR Live. Contact LIGR support as soon as possible to see if anything can be recovered.

Archived Matches are missing from my list. Archived Matches are hidden from the default view. Check for a filter or toggle in the Matches tab to show archived items.

The Match won't delete. If the Match is currently live or streaming, stop the Stream first. If the issue continues, refresh the page and try again.
