How to Delete a Match Recording

Deleting a Match Recording permanently removes the full recording of a completed stream from your Multimedia library in LIGR Live.


Overview

Match Recordings are full-length captures of your live streams, stored in the Multimedia tab. You may want to delete a recording to:


• Free up storage in your Organisation


• Remove test or accidental recordings


• Clear out recordings that are no longer needed after Highlights or Compilations have been created


Before deleting, be aware that removing a Match Recording may also affect any Moments, Highlights, or Compilations that reference it.


Before You Start

Make sure you have:


• The correct permission level (Owner, Admin, or a User role with Multimedia access)


• Exported or downloaded any content you want to keep


• Confirmed that any Highlights or Compilations you want to preserve have already been created

Deleting a Match Recording

Step-by-Step

1. Click the Multimedia tab in the left sidebar.


2. Select Match Recordings from the available content types.


3. Locate the recording you want to remove. You can use filters or search by match name to find it quickly.


4. Click on the recording to open its details, or use the actions menu directly from the list view.


5. Select the Delete option.


6. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

The recording will be removed from your Multimedia library.


Tips

Download first: If there's any chance you'll need the footage later, download the recording before deleting it.


Check dependencies: Highlights and Moments are created from Match Recordings. Deleting the recording may impact these clips.


Review the Match first: If you only need to remove specific clips, consider deleting individual Moments or Highlights rather than the full Match Recording.


Bulk management: If you're clearing out multiple old recordings, work through them one at a time to avoid accidentally removing content you still need.


Common Issues

I don't see a Delete option

Your user role may not have permission to delete Multimedia content. Contact your Organisation Owner or Admin to check your access level.


The recording is still showing after deletion

Refresh the Multimedia tab. If it still appears, check that the deletion was confirmed and try again.


My Highlights disappeared after deleting the recording

Highlights and Moments are tied to the original Match Recording. If the source recording is deleted, dependent content may also be affected. Always download or export important Highlights first.


I deleted the wrong recording

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you need to recover content, contact LIGR support as soon as possible, though recovery is not guaranteed.
